Does anybody know anything about this phenomenon?
I have a week off work, I've been making time to write as much as possible and it's been a spectacular failure. Usually when I'm at this point in the writing process (first draft) I can hardly get the words down on the page fast enough, but this week has been a nightmare. I've been pulling my hair out, questioning my life choices, baffled at how much easier it was to write the historical piece i last worked on, despite it being objectively a much more challenging project. I checked and i'm not premenstrual. This morning, something about mercury retrograde finishing on the 1st popped up on facebook, or instagram (can't remember where, i've lost it now).
Apparently, Mercury (the planet of communication) appears to go backwards in the sky for a few weeks. Does anyone know anything about this? Has anyone noticed it impact their writing these last few weeks? Am I completely mad to even consider this might potentially be the cause of my writers block?
