Menstrual Hut

I'm pretty sure I'm dying. I haven't had cramps this bad in years.
I have a huge stash of sugared ginger that I chew on when my time comes, I would gladly share some with you if I were able to, makes the pain go away.

Sugared ginger? I'll have to try that.

Or ginger tea
or ginger snaps

Ginger has pain killers
I thought it was just good for upset stomachs. Last night I had a cup of herbal tea while taking a bath. The heat from both sources was very helpful.

Still Bleeding...Maybe To Death...It's Not A Problem Though. No Horrible Internal Twistings Like Some Poor Girls, But Great Goodness, It's A Bloody Mess:D

Bloody Handshakes Around The Hut;)

Gardener

I am in love with my womb
& jealous of it.

I cover it tenderly
with a little pink hat
(a sort of yarmulke)
to protect it from men.

Then I listen for the gentle ping
of the ovary:
a sort of cupid's bow
released.
I'm proud of that.
& the spot of blood
in the little hat
& the egg so small
I cannot see it
though I pray to it.

I imagine the inside
of my womb to be
the color of poppies
& bougainvillea
(though I've never seen it).

But I fear the barnacle
which might latch on
& not let go
& fear the monster
who might grow
to bite the flowers
& make them swell & bleed.

So I keep my womb empty
& full of possibility.

Each month
The blood sheets down
like good red rain.

I am the gardener.
Nothing grows without me.

Okay, so, if you had no tampons, maxis or anything but a cup shaped leaf to sit on to catch it, while other women sat around you, what would you talk about/do?

I think I'd try to have it where I can paint up some menstrual art, with my pain and agony. I would make it my av then.

If I did that for real, what would you people think? Do I care? No, but I did just bleed all over myself and I am wanting to share it with you in an altered form.

Answer my questions.

I would just let it bleed, I guess. Relax while waiting, maybe.

red tent is the best

fishie, you're wonderful.

I think you should read The Red Tent.
It is one of the best books out there i have read it about 5 times now. Anita Diamanti did not write anything as good as this, this was her best piece of work.
