Men's Issues - education.

Thank you...

I am reminded of my Godson, an absolutely adorable boy whose mother is working to make sure he doesn't lose his sweetness (but can still hold his own in the world). He is very, very smart, has a vocabulary twice that of many boys his age, but was having real difficulty learning to read until this year - if it hadn't been for his parents knowing how to advocate for him (and pay for private school, although now he's in a good public institution) I suspect that he would have ended up hating school. Worse, he has normal boy "squirminess" and at his last school, teachers wanted to have him tested for ADD, which no one who knows him outside of the school environment could ever believe he has. I suspect the fact that he's black only makes the discrimination worse - I used to do health/sex ed presentations in the schools years ago and would invariably find that the special ed classes were filled with dark complected black boys, many of whom when you talked to them exhibited an intelligence that would indicate an unwarrented placement. Anyway, thank you again for the post and the link.

I try to raise awareness of relevant issues which affect our communities. Issues that are ignored by the politically-correct media of 21st century America.

Issues such as male victims of domestic violence, crisis in boys
education, false allegations of rape, anti-male domestic violence laws, anti-male family court practices, unfair divorce laws and so on. Relevant issues that most people ignore.

I can't.

Don't ask me why.
