Why do some men overly flirt with other women infront of the girl they really like?
This has happened to both me and my girlfriend, we both have thought the boys didn't like us cause when we were around they started hugging other girls, all the while looking at us...huh??

It's to show how openly sexual they are I suppose. Something like "Look at me! I can have all these women but tonight I want you, think how lucky you to have a stud like me interested in you" The thing is it does work

Well that all depends.

For some men its just an act of jelousy, the 'i could have her if i wanted so you better not leave.' type routine or like stated above the 'i could have her, but i have you'

for the most part men do this psychologacly as a straight hormanal desire to procreate. to create as much offspring as possible to ensure the survival of your genetics. through that they will continualy search out suitable mates which will be able to carry their offspring to further their genetic line.

or it could be like me, im a very emotional person, the people that i would say hi to are ones that i deeply like and that deeply like me as well. and having that deep tie towards them makes me feel more openly affectionate.


you really have to be careful with this one because you really never do know, he could be hugging the girl that he is cheating with you on. or it could be a distant cousin that he spent all of his childhood with. mostly, its just to put on a show and show all how formal and nice i am to women.

In thier own over-the top manner, they wanted to appear more attractive to you by appearing to be seen as attractive by these other girls. They may not even be conscious of how conspicuous they are doing it.

Convoluted, but effective. Admit it, even though you're repulsed to a degree, you were fascinated as well.

it CAN work... but it's no more or less effective than the games women play. women are much more subversive and creative than men. they may not openly flirt with other people but they do their share of manipulating as well.

please just don't go thinking this is a one way street.

Yes they are boys, younger than me, it's true that I rarely find this going on with men over 30. Anyway, it makes me jealous and when I 'm jealous I turn cold, so in that sense it doesn't work. I don't know if it's a misunderstanding on my part, I've just felt that they give me a certain look when they're hanging out with other girls like they want me to get pissed off or react.

Are you and your friend actually dating these guys? Or, are they just friends with potential for it being more?

If it's the latter, I think that they're subtlely telling you, "Shit or get off the pot." In other words, "Make your move, or I'm moving on."

If it's the former, then they're just assholes.
