Thanks, Mick. I thank you again for your suggestions. Once again, I value the help you and others give me with my writing because you make me fix what I knew needed to be fixed, but was too lazy to do so.

I knew all those passages were telling-not-showing, and I even mentioned it to Muff. But did I do anything about it? Nope. Basically, I figure the reader probably won't notice. (Picture my guilty smile here.) And I'm probably right, but I also shouldn't put up anything less than my best. I needed the kick in the ass you gave me. I need all the kicks in the ass my editor friends give me, because as you can see, I'm basically a lazy writer who will try to get away with stuff when I think I can.

Thanks everyone--KM, Gaucho, Mick-- for making me toe the line. I really appreciate it. I feel good about the chapter, largely in part because of you.

Well now it looks like I do and and I'm allmost clueless about what I'm going to write about. And I thought that I would have three more weeks! Well time to stop whining and get busy.

I've got a buck says he'll post his chapter. Maybe not on time (cuz we never got that "what happens if someone posts late" question all worked out, did we?) but i think he'll post.

Offically late

My Chapter will post next week, had some real life issues come up, and then not getting the time to spend with the editors. I have to work this week end, but with a little luck, and a lot of help, It should be up early in the week.

(You know that part where you go over it looking for two spaces between sentences instead of one, and places where you bite a fingernail over the question of whether to leave that comma there or remove it? You *don't* obsess like that? Gee, now i feel so... exposed!)
