I live in a fairly remote corner of Australia and it's very hard to find anyone who is even open-minded towards GLBT issues. I'm pondering the possibility of someone from a support group in Melbourne or Sydney coming to have a chat with me. It would be a comfort to be with someone who has been in the Other World..ie where many more things are tolerated. My parents and their friends are strict Christians and there are very few GLBT people around.

Good luck on that one, don't be afraid to access the on-line support community (like here) it can make a world of difference.

look up some info on support groups in melbourne.. give them a call.. i'm sure they'd be more than willing to help. then maybe you can organise it..
