Okay, I know the majority of you don't want to be discussing actual topics here on this forum (general, as opposed to my favorite, orp). However, I'm still gunna post cause I'm curious.

How many of you engage in meditation?
What type of meditation is it?
Do you visualize things? On purpose?
How clear are the visualizations?
How often/long do you meditate?

Hope ta hear from some of you soon :)

I try to meditate every day.

It's a personal thing.

I tend to visualize. I try controlled breathing and with each breath I visualize filling the parts of my body with a warm relacing glow.

Depends on what I am doing, but most of the time it is clear. Sometimes I just listen and feel, never really paid attention to what I was visualizing while I am doing this.

I don't know, but the more I practice it, the sooner I feel relaxed.

I meditate every day. I have for years. It's nothing really concrete, just time I spend alone, silent and going through a mental process of ridding my mind of any garbage it picked up that day. I do it in the evenings, with a breathing technique that seems to relax me. I don't purposefully try to visualize things, but sometimes favorite people or places will come to mind. On the average I spend about 15 minutes a day.

used to have to, do this during tae kwon-do classes i felt it was a huge waste of time

I've been meditating, off and on, since i was a teenager.

Lately i've been trying to get back into the habit of doing it on a daily basis because i need a calm center in my life right now.

Meditation offers me calm and control, a settled mind and unruffled emotions, relaxation and well-being. I do the common in-through-the nose-for-10-hold-it-for-10-out-through-the-mouth-for-10 breathing. I use the common stairs-down visualization to guide my self into the calm i need.

I'm back to enjoying the process and have derived a lot of benefit from my recent forays back into such a habit.

Good topic.

i start by visualizing myself laying back in an aluminum boat floating on a body of water with small waves lapping at the hull. after becomming relaxed i erase that and just deep breathe and visualize inhaling a cleansing stream of energy that i gather, in my mind, from all six directions. i hold the breath for a second or two while visualizing the energy swirling around my body and mind and picking up impurities and then release them with the breath and send it all into a void that i feel but can't really explain.
