try turning the book sideways and use the longer direction.....use your hand and not you fingers....try moving hand,wrist, and arm....and try to be more fluid....maybe your moving too slow....smooth....move smoothly......yes that's it....hard then soft....hard....ohh sorry...uh and move on to the contour thing don't get stuck on this excercise.....first one object then 3 and just do the outside of all of them as one object....not individual objects.

you last pics are just what i have been thinking about.....but dancing on the floor is the best....

it will be the usual....some wine...some food....some problems....some solutions....and hopefully some time off after....

but i do have to help a friend on sun. so no much of a weekend....will def. have to take a couple days off next week...
