McDonalds Play area's WARNING

McDonald's is not free to address this issue at this current time. Please be aware that we are deeply concerned about children and there safety and that we always make sure that safety standards are a high priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and thank you for choosing McDonald's.

I'm more concerned with the employees who don't wear gloves before they handle my food.

the police removed the balls from the ball pit and found rotten food, half-eaten candy, diapers, feces, the stench of urine, and several hypodermic needles.

Wait 'til people find out what's in the food. Then McDonalds will really be in trouble.

I won't let my children play at those play areas...the indoor ones. Have you ever really looked at most of those...how exactly would you an adult get your child out in an emergency or if they got hurt how quickly could you get to them? No thank you. There are plenty of other great play grounds around here.

Holy Soylent night, medjay

Chicken McNuggets are... people?!

Do you wear gloves when you handle food at home?

Do you realize that the government has an acceptable level of rat meat in beef?

Do you realize that there is some guy who does not wash his hands after using the bathroom or sneezing who shops at your grocery store and has handled the merchandise just previous to that?

Do you realize that germs love the fucking hell out of vinyl and plastic, and that when the sweat and skin oil gets trapped inside it's like a microbial smorgasboard?

Hmmm....when *I* got the story emailed to me a couple of years ago, everything was just about the same except that her only son had been bitten by baby rattle snakes in the ball pit.

Sillyman,

I'll take my chances with a pair of plastic disposable gloves over an employee who picks his nose, scratches his ass and doesn't wash his hands after using the toilet any day.

The funny thing is, I have spoken the exact same words you have just used on a thread within the last 2 weeks. I suggested that if most people knew what went on in food processing plants, restaurants, grocery stores and even in the agricultural fields, that they would never eat anything (from anywhere) ever again.

You're preaching to the choir here.

Urban Legends is a kick ass site...

As for McDonalds playsites, I have no problem at all with them. There are two boys I babysit once in a while when the parents need a breather from the little hellraisers.. er.. little angels and McDonalds is almost always a place we go every time.

Like calypso said, I do worry at times that the boys will get hurt there, but from what I've been able to see there is a way to get a kid out of every possible place there. Besides, it's not a matter of the playplace itself hurting the kids, I'm more worried they'll slam into each other as they run around.

Employees at those places dont check out the ball pits at all! A person can slip that stuff into the ball pits easily and the emplyoees would not know.

I used to work at a Disocvery Zone and we found a switchblade in the ball pit. This is a true story. Honest.

LOL.. When I saw this thread I was just about to post what LionTmr had posted

If you go to www.snopes.com and hit their search page for "Ball Pit" you can find several versions of this story

They're one of the best Urban Legends sites out there

It's true, and this I can tell you first hand. I used to work at a Chuck E. Cheese's and although we were required to clean the pit every night [ remove every ball and run through the washer in a mesh bag ] this was neve done in my 2 years of working there. We've found whiskey bottles, kives, cellphones, and anything else you could imagine in there. Not to mention kids that age don't know how to hold it until they reach the restroom.

I've actually seen one of the smaller girls that works at our McDonalds go through the entire play place just giving it a check over..

I assume they do that every so often every day.

not true, ve seen Mcdonalds cleaning theirs out before, And chuckie cheese.

well not where I worked! We had some balls we put in this machine and pretended to wash, but we never washed the balls in the pit.

Maybe it depends on how good the employees and managment are??

I guess I was 17 years old, I didnt think about those things.

When did we pass a law that said stupid ball exhibits should turn your kid into Albert Einstein? If you're a fat stupid bitch, don't be surprised if your kid takes after you. Or think of it this way: every lawsuit reduces our defenses againt jihad-loving terrorist assholes by one percent. Be satisfied with that. You're not going to do much better.
