Hi All, Silverstud66 here and looking forward to becoming part of the group!

My submissions will, I think, be infrequent but I hope worth waiting for - I tend to only find the 'spark' for light erotica occasionally and sometimes it can take several weeks to finish writing a story I plan in my head for several months!

Nevertheless, I like to think I can write fairly well although my writing is of course, as is often the case for Erotica written by anyone, deeply personal.

...Which leads me round to my question. I've had a read around the FAQ's looking for an answer as noob's asking obvious questions tend to annoy me on other forums(!) but I still can't quite find it!

I see it says email addresses won't be shared with any third parties, but what I need to know is does that include readers or other profile-holders? I can appreciate our emails won't be given to marketing agencies and the such but can you guys, for example, see my email address? I'd rather my email isn't visible incase anyone I know in real life stumbles across this and unmasks me! If people can see my email it's not a problem and I'll just re-register with a separate, anonymous email and submit work then.

...I figured it was better to check first just to be on the safe side!

Your email is hidden by default, and I don't think there's actually a setting to make it public.

When a reader sends feedback, they don't see your address. The only way they can find out is for you to reply to them.

Oh the site owners are well aware of our need for anonymity. A few of us don't use our real names when we get together personally, even when we know them. For instance, at gatherings of this crowd, my name tag just has my avatar. So while about a dozen other writers know my name, I'm still just "Bear". When I was working it was critical. Now, it's just what I'm comfortable with. Yeah, privacy rules!

Heh... It was the same in the nudie chat community. While many of us knew each other by our real names, we still almost exclusively referred to each other ( even in person ) by our chat handles. Makes people in restaurants look at you funny when Bails, Sleep, and Dark are having a conversation about BSD, Ex, and Gent... but oh well

You never want to get too comfortable with real names with people from any place where you want at least general anonymity. Helps prevent half-asleep/half-drunk/etc. slips in public.
