You could try thewaiting station at the hair salon at any J.C. Penny salon in the country.

Or, you could go to any of the chat rooms on the web and hit the "40's but flirtin" button. Lots of them around.

Actually, I 'm not sure. Haven't done the chat room thing in a long time...but as I recall, most were divided into age categories.

you could try and download the excite.com chatroom. They have a room for those in their 40's, and if you have a mic and speakers you can voice chat as well
