Btw, in the UK (cause that's where I's a nurse) bedchecks would be two hourly and made through windows in the bedroom doors so as not to interrupt sleep. Minx and I are supposed to be a high suicide risk though, right? As newly admitted patients that would mean 15min checks or even someone stationed outside their room at all times, at least for the first few nights.

I'm not trying to be nitpicky here, entirely up to you what you want to do Minx.

Sounds good to me FM! I have no idea lol I'm just judging by what I remember from a movie and the hospitals my brother has stayed at so not very specific since they didn't have doors!

Well, you can't assume thhese things. And its the sort of skill that can help keep them calm and sedate. Obviously, it would eventually have to turn into more of a group seminar, not just a lecture and demonstration.

Group involvement was always part of the course. How else can you learn such skills lest by close observation and guidance.
