I have had a lovely break, bare, and I'm sorry that you had so many troubles with the traveling part of your break.

Damn, that's rough. Does he get you a Chanukah (spelling?) gift? I hope so. I know that gifts aren't that important, hell, I yell at Ron all the time for it, but it's nice on special occasions like the holiday season or a birthday. I hope you had a lovely holiday otherwise.

Exactly. I said I was going to bake cookies for all of my friends so I didn't have to spend too much and it was from the heart, but I ended up spending at least $200-250 on my family and friends. It was worth seeing their happy faces though. My friend Marj almost cried when I gave her a Peach plushie (the starfish from Finding Nemo). Right in the DC during dinner. It was hilarious.

I am right there with you - i love giving gifts. I have given my boyfriend great gifts over the years - an engraved flask (he's a drinker!), some nice clothes, expensive bottles of whiskey....stuff he likes. he once got me a tiffany key chain,and then my bag was stolen with the Tiffany keychain in it. he wouldn't replace it because he said i lost it. and they say romance is dead!
