Mass Effect 3 Fates of the Species

Tali
Tali shook her head.

"I don't know." she replied.

A pause.

"Probably just a debrief for the mission."

Another pause.

"Do you think that Geth could fix the engine problem? I'm not sure I want him near the engine or anywhere in our systems, but if he's anything like Legion..."

She turned to look at him.

"Legion was different. What if Shadow is the same?"

James Anderson

James frowned a little as he thought about the Geth. "Well, in my opinion, we need to ensure that the Normandy stays up and running and if it requires a Geth to do so, then we have no choice. I know little of Geth, except how to destroy one."

He looked at Tali and smiled in sympathy as he put his hand on her shoulder, "Listen, I know how you Quarian feel about the Geth and I don't trust them either. So, if it makes you feel any better, I'll keep a watch on him while he works on the engines. Just in case he tries do something to the ship... or you."

Shadow

Shadow looked to the side, then the other side, noting their seeming acceptance of him. Surely they were aware that he could end them before they had a chance to react? Interesting thing about fleshlings. They were very trusting.

He did not make the same mistake. Did not have emotions that ruled his reasoning. He was an A.I. He made calculations about every action that he did, every decision made was by a consensus of over a thousand programs, each performing its own duty for the collective.

Hence he did not consider himself to be one being, but many within one mobile platform.

The doors parted to reveal a quarian and another human standing there. The Quarian clearly did not like Geth, and showed an immediate dislike for him. She said she would catch the next one. Catch the next one? What an absurd thought. A Quarian would not be able to hold the weight of an elevator unassisted. She would be crushed.

His mandibles twitched, but he did not speak.

The doors parted again and the Geth stepped out of the elevator, making his way to the briefing room, knowing where to go due to his earlier assessment of the level of the ship. He followed his path to there and slipped through the doors. The only other being in there was Shepard-Commander and the holographic EDI. Shadow twitched his mandibles and the upper plates before stepping to a corner of the room, apart from the table.

Angel
Angel noted Garnul seeming to accept that the Geth could kill them before they reacted, as he relaxed and placed his SMG by his side again. Good. It might make the Geth relax, calm down, or do whatever the AI equivalent is.

She also noted the way he twitched his mandible plates at Tali's words, using the biological slang term. She tilted her head. He must not understand it. Normally she would have laughed, but she didn't this time.

The doors parted soundlessly and Angel followed Shadow out, trailing behind him as he entered the briefing room. Shepard was the only other in there aside from EDI. Angel took a seat at the table, waiting for the others to arrive.

Tali
Tali nodded slowly before pressing the button for the elevator.

"I'd like that." she said softly.

The doors parted and she stepped inside the now empty elevator and waited for James to step in before pushing the button to go up.

"This should be interesting." she commented.

Garnul

He found the Quarian's dislike of the Geth not surprising, but then again the Geth had a bad reputation all over the known worlds. He did stay cautious of the Geth and was strangely relieved when the elevator stopped and it stepped out, followed by Angel. Quite un-Turian like he gave her passing ass a playful pinch, then followed the two of them, entering the briefing room, he moved to a space where he could keep an eye on the Geth, not that he felt it necessary, but his training and upbringing made it clear that the protection of the commander was the highest priority when ever Garnul was close enough to do just that.

James Anderson

James smiled at Tali and followed her into the elevator. As the doors shut, and Tali pushed the button, James heard her second comment and wondered what she meant by it?

"The commander might have something interesting to talk about. Though I hope it's not another mission that involves attack a group of mercenaries. I can deal with Blood Packs, but not Blue Suns."

The elevator door opened and James stepped out onto the the Command Deck.
