Masked Ball (Closed for AngelLightheart)

Donovan Graham

He watched her pulling on her jacket, he was remembered quite clearly just why she was one of the most sought after women in the building. He smiled slightly and walked with her, feeling the brush against his shoulder,

"I have thought about Giglianos, but if you do not like Italian I am quite sure we can go where ever you wish to."

He pushed open the outer door and.allowed it to close after them, he saw the Receptionist stare after them. The look in her eyes was one he did not see much, envy? He smiled and instead of taking his car he hailed a cab and while they waited he looked at her.

"So do you approve of my idea?"

Her eyes, they seemed so familiar, but then again she did work for him...but not this intensely that he would know her eyes this well.

Jasmine Storm

Jasmine smiled and followed along, smiling at him when he suggested the Italian place.

"It's been a while since I've eaten there, why not?" she said happily.

They stepped into the elevator and went down to the ground floor, where he hailed a cab. She slipped into the seat, moving across so he could sit down, too. It was a nice cab. She blinked and looked over at him, waiting for the cab to pull away.

Of course, she wasn't aware that the rumors were already going around about her and Mr. Donovan. She also wasn't aware of how many people at the office pleasured themselves to the thought of her.

She smiled and looked forward again, letting her eyes trail over the interior.

Something was very familiar about Mr. Donovan...more than should be.

He slipped into the seat and leaned back,

"Giglianos please"

"Right away sir"

The cab pulled away and he smiled at Jasmine,

"At least it is a short ride so we should make it back in time, but then again..."

He pulled his tie a bit looser, and undid the top button of his shirt, resting his hands behind his head,

"I am the boss, so why would I worry about being a bit late?"

He chuckled and closed his eyes as they drove.

"So miss Storm, did you attend our infamous Ball this weekend?"

Jasmine Storm

Jasmine smirked at his words about being late, feeling her eyes trail down to look at the exposed skin. She glanced back up at him before looking out the window. She did manage to keep the surprise off her face when he asked her about the Ball.

She glanced over again with another smile.

"I did, actually," she said to him.

She looked away, then looked back.

"It was...interesting," she added.

She went back to looking out the window, crossing her legs and pulling her skirt down slightly. She also undid *another* button, showing even more of her cleavage and bra off. She looked over at him with an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, it's hot out. Hope you don't mind."

Donovan Graham

He looked as she unbuttoned her top exposing flesh and clothing, he looked at those lovely eyes and smiled at her,

"Oh I really don't mind, it is warm."

He stroked his chin, so she was at the ball, the eyes, the build...but could it be?

"Must have missed you at the ball, I have to admit that I had a good time, but left early."

He gave her a small smile, then as the taxi stopped he got out and held his hand to help her out. The touch of her cool skin against his had little sparks flowing up his arm and he nervously touched his tongue tip to his lips. He closed the door behind her and paid the cab driver, he turned to her and offered his arm.

"Shall me madame?"

Jasmine Storm

Jasmine grinned at his words. Then, she tilted her head just slightly. The voice...the build...could it be?

"Yes, I left early as well. Had some business to attend to, and I was quite satisfied for the night," she said with a small smile.

The cab stopped and he got out of the car, holding out his hand to help her up. A true gentleman, she thought as she took his hand and stood. He paid the cab driver and then turned to her and offered his arm.

She smirked at his words.

"I think we shall," she replied.

She stepped up to him and threaded her arm through his, walking with him into the building.

Donovan Graham

He was very much aware of her perfume and and underlying smell which just placed his senses on alert, he smiled at the matre'd, who escorted them to a table, slightly secluded. Donovan pulled out the chair for Jasmine and then took his own seat, he ordered his usual, a whiskey on the rocks. He waited for the waiter to depart after taking Jasmine's order before he spoke.

"So Miss Storm, it really is a shame, you have been working for me for what is it now? Five years? And I know absolutely nothing about you."

He gave her a friendly smile, he had been here with various beautiful women, but none of them attracted quite the attention that Jasimine Storm was attracting at that moment.

Jasmine Storm

Jasmine offered the waitress a small smile. She was cute. The waitress blushed ever so slightly and led them to their table. She smiled and thanked her before sitting down. She then turned to Mr. Graham after giving the waitress her own usual, a glass of red wine. The waitress departed and Jasmine listened to his question.

She stayed silent for a few moments before replying.

"There's not much to know about me," she said to him with a smile.

"I'm just a women who has a certain interest in business, Mr. Graham," she added.

She blinked and waited for his response.

The waitress came back with their drinks and set them down. Jasmine smiled and thanked her, she smiled back, and Jasmine noticed her eyes trail down to her bountiful cleavage. A flash of lust went across her face before it cleared. She smiled again and asked for their food orders. She glanced in the menu and ordered the first thing she noticed: a shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, and then handed the waitress her menu.

She turned to him and waited, her eyes trailing just slightly over her form and not noticing the waitress looking at her own luscious form. The way she placed her arms pushed her breasts up and out more, so it seemed like they would spill out of her bra at any moment.

Donovan Graham

He looked as Jasmine clearly teased the waitress, it was quite interesting, it seemed like she was not a shy one after all.

"Well truly there is more to tell about yourself? Even I have a few things to tell and the most interesting man I am not."

He smiled and ordered a pair of crumbed chicken fillets with a side Greek salad,

"And since I have been in this business for some time I can appreciate the work you have put into getting where you are now. I takes many people ages to get there, what did you do? Take some work home with you?"

He grinned disarmingly

Jasmine Storm

Jasmine smiled at Donovan.

"I'm certainly not the most interesting woman in the world, but there's not much special about me," she explained.

At least, not to her there wasn't.

"There's not much business related that you don't already know about me, Mr. Graham," she continued.

"But more personally, I suppose there is quite the bit you don't know."

She grinned.

"Back in business college I pushed my calculus teacher out a window for trying to touch my breasts."

She paused and waited to see his reaction.

"And I'm also quite interested in fencing. Top of my class. When I was in a class, that is. I only rarely get invited to groups or tournaments nowadays. I hurt people, apparently," she said the last part with a small, nervous smile.

"In my spare time I practice my old fencing moves in case I happen to need them. I also do a bit of reading, since I don't have anyone that I really spend the time talking to. My life always seems to be work, work, and more work."

Now that she thought about it, she had an invitation to a fencing tournament sitting on her nightstand at home, which was in a few days. Maybe she would pick up her old skills again. She smiled at Donovan.

"That's why I was a little surprised when you asked me to have lunch with you. You're the first to ask me." She paused. "I'm not sure if they don't like me or something, but nobody seems to want to talk to me, or they seem nervous when I try talking to people around the office."

A few minutes passed, those few minutes turning into a few more minutes. The waitress came back with their drinks and then their food shortly after. Jasmine thanked the waitress with another smile. She blushed again, curtsied, and left after telling them to let her know if they need anything. She emphasized the word and looked at Jasmine.

Jasmine smiled on the outside, but was curious on the inside. She hadn't noticed the waitress oggling her the whole time she had been there. She thanked the waitress again and picked up her fork, looking back over at Donovan.

"Anything else you wanted to know, Mr. Graham? If not, why don't you tell me about yourself? I think it's only fair." she said to him after a bite of her food, which was actually quite good.

He arched an eyebrow at her confession, then smiled,

"Hoped it was at least two floors up."

He listened to her talk about fencing and nodded,

"Seems like you are quite a live wire Ms Storm."

His voice was teasing,

"Always had an interest in the fencing arts, just never really got the time for it. Now that I have competent staff, like you, to keep my business running I find myself with time."

He smirked,

"So you wish to know more about me? Well then, the day I walked out of school I had stars in my eyes and a bright future in the sporting department."

He scoffed slightly,

"Strange how things turned out, one beer too many, the designated driver not as sober as he should be and your sporting career gets tailighted."

He sobered slightly and gave her a brief smile,

"I had to adjust, so while I was cooped up in hospital, I overheard a man arguing over the phone with a supplier of his and that got me thinking, why not check the market and see what I can get into. Sure I had to start small, I studied, I worked, I struggled."

He shrugged,

"Like most of these stories go basically, just I got lucky, landed a good deal with your favorite clients and with them behind me, the company grew into the enterprise it is today."

He cut his meat and took a bite,

"Of course I started to move in high circles, places that I had never been before."

He frowned

"So many pretty women, many so fake and hollow..."

His voice trailed off and he suddenly looked into her eyes,

"Unlike you, you accept me as I am and that is what marks a great person."

He smiled and took another bite of his fillet.

Jasmine Storm

Jasmine smiled.

"Fencing is a nice past time to have. Keeps one busy," she commented, taking another bite of her food.

She listened to him talked about his earlier job expectation. Sports. Go figure.

"I think you would have made an excellent jock," she said to him with a small smile.

She took another bite of her food while he talked about him being in the hospital. She blinked and took a sip of her drink. Just a small one.

"Seems you are quite lucky. And I'm glad you are, or I wouldn't have a job," she said.

She paused and stared for a moment at his next words, about her being different from all the other women. Did he mean..?

No. He couldn't. He was her boss, after all. Heads of huge enterprises like this one don't just affiliate with any lowly manager like her.

Right?

But then, he seemed so familiar...especially that look in his eyes just now. She'd seen it before. And his voice...his build...it was all so familiar.

"Thank you, Mr. Graham. I try to stay sincere," she said with a small, nervous smile.

Donovan Graham

He chuckled,

"Strange thing is that I didn't cut it as a jock, just didn't have the right amount of swagger for it."

He saw the smile and reached out to pat her hand,

"I'm sorry if I stepped a bit out of line with my remark, I'm always a bit too direct."

He took a sip of his drink and cut himself another piece of chicken.

"I think I know why most people are so nervous around you,"

he gave her a grin.

"They probably feel that you are a goddess and therefor they get nervous in fear that you might smite them if they displease you."

His eyes twinkled as he teased her a bit

Jasmine Storm

"No, it's quite alright," she replied.

She took a sip of her drink, a small smile touching her lips.

"Oh? Do tell."

Her own eyes twinkled slightly as she waited his response. She was having fun, for the first time in quite a while.

Her eyes took on a startled look as he teased her. A slight blush touched her cheeks as she realized what he said. She coughed nervously and smiled, also nervously.

"Oh. I...uhm...I see," she stammered.

She glanced over at him before looking back down at her plate.

"I'm not so sure about that," she murmured, cutting herself another piece of her food and taking a bite.

She looked up at him again with a soft smile.

"But thank you."

Donovan Graham

He chuckled at her blush, he rested his hand on her arm and smiled at her,

"All jokes aside, judging from what I've heard and the work you do, you are quite a great lady. I envy the man who will one day capture your heart."

Even if that could be me. He blinked, he had no idea where that thought had come from. He continued to cut his chicken and eating it with the salad, taking the occasional sip from his drink. He smiled at her when her eyes met his, he just loved looking at her, not only because she was easy on the eye, she just had this...energy about her. It reminded him so much of the woman at the dance...perhaps he should forget about the woman and rather focus on what he had with him. If she did seem to return his attentions, he might just end up as that lucky sonofabitch that could call Jasmine Storm his own. He smiled at his thoughts and continued to finish his meal.

Jasmine Storm

She smiled at his comment and looked up at him, starting to say something before closing her lips softly. She blinked and went back to her food, taking small bites and occasionally a sip of her drink. She finished her food in silence, then finished off her drink carefully, before coughing nervously and looking across the table at him.

"I suppose we should be getting back, hmm?"

She blinked and folded her hands on her lap, her eyes trailing over him briefly before returning. She looked at the waitress as she returned to ask if everything was alright. She smiled and nodded.

"It was lovely. Just as good as I remember."

She looked back at Donovan.

Donovan Graham

"Well then I did hope we could get desert, but you are right, there is much to do."

He waited for the waiter to clear their table, then got up, moved around the the table and pulled out Susan's chair for her, his eyes catching her ample cleavage revealed by her unbuttoned blouse, how he longed to touch the soft flesh, feel her supple skin give way to his hands. He smiled at her when she looked at him, then he offered his arm, he paid and led her outside where they got another taxi, soon they were on their way back to the office building.

"I forgot to ask, would you need a fencing partner some time soon? I think I should start doing something useful with my alone time."

His phone rang and he pulled it out, pressing the button,

"Graham."

He listened to the voice on the other side and frowned slightly,

"Yes, I have looked into one of the problems..."

he glanced at Susan and smiled slightly,

"Seems like negligence is the main reason for said problems. Just get him on his way if you please, also start looking for a possible replacement, there is a young lad in IT, I feel he is wasted there, find out if he has any electrical background...Yes, thank you."

He ended the call and leaned back into the seat, enjoying the view of Susan's legs as they protruded from her short skirt.

"Work can be so tedious at times, don't you agree Miss Storm?"
