Make me feel loved. Those fat little bundles of starch...I want a bed of mashed potatoes and a blanket of gravy.

ahh...

Someone said to me today that boxed mashed potatoes taste as good as real mashed potatoes. It made me a little sad.

I'm laying here trying to think of my fave thing to eat with creamy mashed potato. And it's probably vagina.

Kidding. No, I like it with peas and gravy. But it's gotta be butter and cream though. And salt the potatoes. You gotta do it right.

My mom used to buy fake mashed potatoes them to make my dad crazy.

Shoestring fries in a flaky biscuit, smothered in sausage gravy. Bacon too boot if I have it. Carbohydrate & Fat heaven.

I went to a Thanksgiving one year where they made boxed mashed potatoes. I was slightly offended.

Thanksgiving was usually about the only time that we would have real mashed potatoes. Ain't nobody got time to peel, dice, boil, and mash 'taters for nine people.

I am kind of fond of the flavor of boxed, but the texture of real mashed potatoes is so much better.

The best use for boxed is potato soup.

Roasted, mashed yucca root is really good.

Even better than mashed potatoes are twice baked potatoes. Bake them, scoop them out, make mashed potatoes, fold in cheese, refill the potatoes, top with more cheese and bake them to cheesy goodness.

What does a yucca root taste like?

I haven't had potatoes like the twice baked, but I like saving the skins when I do mashed potatoes to bake again with butter and whatnot on it.

It's really neutral. More texture than a potatoe, though. Drier than a sweet potatoe but slightly grainy the way a sweet potatoe is.

Yeah I've done that before sometimes too; simply crisp up the skins and ate them.

I did something similar with chicken skins one time I was making teriyaki chicken and I skin and debone a whole bunch of chicken thighs and I was looking at this pile of chicken skin and I was thinking I should do something with that so I fried them up like bacon and made chicken skin, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches. They were delicious.

I'm sure that they are really bad for you because they were that delicious.

I would not say chicken skin is healthy. Lol I might have to try the yucca root. I'm trying to not be a picky eater anymore.

I'd like everyone to approve first.

I love mashed potatoes, real ones with butter and salt and white pepper. Gravy is optional

Poutine is good, too

When I said I'm going to pick you up and jerk off with you, that's not what I meant.
