Marvel Superheroes

Gambit

I stood there and looked at Magneto with absolute shock and fury, my knuckles turning white as I gripped the edge of the viewing booth. He was talking about peace between his nation and every other nation in the world and he was the greatest mutant terrorist in the world. I wanted nothing more than to power anything up and throw it at him but I knew that if I did then I would be arrested for attacking a diplomatically protected person. I stood there and slammed my fist against a post, causing some pain to shoot down my arm but also releasing some of my anger. It caused a few people to look at me but none of them said anything as they understood what I was angry at. I looked down at Magneto again and saw that he was still talking, "You will fall Magneto. And when you do mon ami I will be there to watch."

The Thing

(OOC: Well I was trying to offer Shadowcat some help, guess I was late as usual.)

It seems like hours that I have been standing here, waiting for a responce from the rooftop. "Ben, you better lay off the bacon in the mornings." I say to myself. Looking up one more time, I see noone so I head to the UN. "Great I am running late, Maggy's address has aleardy started." I mumble as I rush to the building.

Instead of going to my seat, I stand by the door in the back of hte room.

Elektra, Storm

Elektra:

I felt a surge of energy. I knew I wouldn't be killed by this man again.

"try me, I'm on a mission, to assasinate. You are interferring with my work." I walked up to him and poked him in the chest. My frame so small, even though my body toned to fitness and beyond, he towered over me.

"have you not been keeping up?" Maybe, if I showed defiance, he would back down. "I am the world's infamous assasinator. Kingpin DOESNT WANT YOU."

Storm:

I linked my hand with Wolverine's, I squeezed. He was getting upset. My temper was also being tried, the storm outside grew worse. I knew and so did he, that it wasn't mother nature. I glanced back, the people know who were the mutants. Did they not see we were the same? I saw Gambit, I smiled. I heard Magneto begin to talk of "a world without mutant discretion." I agreed, BUT, his was of achieving it. ...I wanted to send a lightening bolt to shock him some sense.

Bullseye:

Snatching Elextra's arm, Bullseye stepped in with a knife to her throat. "We been here before havn't we?" He enquired with a whisper. "Your mission can wait. Take me to King Pin, and we will see who the better assasin is... Bitch!"

Rogue

I flew to the UN building, my dress under my arm and the brewing storm telling me that a certain lady was not too happy right about now. A taxi would have been too slow and I was running very late as it was so I went under my own power. Smiling at the guard as he admitted me, I hurried to the lady's room to change and freshen up.

Folding my uniform up and putting it into the case I carried, I practically ran out the door which was kind of awkward in heels and a dress, the gloves that adorned my hands and arms, a neccessity.

As I approached the area I knew my fellow Xmen would be in, I noticed many others of the super hero types hanging around and I even caught sight of the reporter who we had pulled away from Electra before I reached my destination. Magneto sure knew how to draw a crowd.

Slipping in just in time to witness Gambit's outburst, I moved behind him and said,"Better save that for later, darlin', I have a feeling that you are going to need it. What did I miss?"

Mystique

As we approached the embassy I had a feeling that something was very wrong. Hell, the whole day had gone wrong and I cursed Electra under my breath. If we screwed up Magneto would have our heads and I was going to be sure to take it out of her hide. I smiled to myself. Next time I would let Rogue have at her without interferance, I had no doubts who would come out on top in that one. The lady used to work with me and I had seen her in action.

Throwing those thoughts away from me, I grabbed Sabertooth and quickened my pace. "We have to hurry," I said to him,"If anything goes wrong we will have to pay a pretty price. Come on."

I smile wigedly and say down't whery the boss is going tolk alot and we'll gite ther in time fore any achion. Besides if we git ther to erly I'll fall asleep on hem. I smile a littil at that.

Wolverine, Thing

Wolv

My tension fades a little as Storm squeezes my hand. Looking at her I smile and grip her hand tighter as well.

"How much longer hon?" I ask. "I am so unbelievably bored, you are the only thing that is keeping my temper in check." I tell her, although I imagine she already knows it.

Thing

Standing in the back of the room, I can still feel the tension around me. I am glad I am back here, I imagine the weight of the tension would be unbearable even with my thick hide.

UN Building/ Genoshan Embassy

UN Building
Magneto speaks "However, the time has past for words and diplomacy. I am declaring war on each and every nation represented here, on behalf of the mutants of the world! Mutants everywhere, I call upon you to rise up and destroy these dinosaurs called Homo Sapiens! Their time is past, and the future is upon our shoulders!"

The assembled delegates erupted into a mad chaos of frightened, angry people. Several of the security guards took it upon themselves to draw their weapons, and fire upon Magneto. Their bullets bounced harmlessly off his sheild, and he laughed, a wild laugh that echoed through the loudspeakers.

Genoshan Embassy

As Psylocke opens the door, an amazing sight greets her. The room was filled with very advanced machinery. More advanced than anything she'd ever seen on Earth, but it reminded her of some of the equipment she'd seen in her travels with the XMen to alien planets. The telepathic signal of a soul in torment was heard very clearly here. Advancing, she sees a male human suspended in a tank of some sort of liquid. His face was obscured by some sort of breathing mask, but his form and white hair seemed somehow familiar. He was definitely the source of the messages; she could see his body twitching in agony. One swift kick to the clear window in the tank shattered it, and she leapt to the ceiling, clinging to the ductwork in order to avoid the liquid pouring out onto the floor. The liquid quickly drained off, and she landed lightly in front of the shattered window. The man inside was dangling from the various devices attached to him.

Psylocke carefully reached through and detached the still form from the machinery, pulling him to her through the window. Cradling him in her arms, she finally was able to remove the breath mask, revealing a tremendous surprise!

Cable had finally made it past -or through- the various guards to the room where Psylocke had found the unconscious man. He stepped in just as she removed the mask, and they both gasped when they saw the face revealed: "Magneto?!!"

The man coughed spastically, then opened his eyes: "No. My name is... Joseph?"

Storm.

The speech made even my calm persona snap. Getting up, I tilted my head back, my eyes turned white. My voice boomed like thunder.

"We will not unite Magneto, never will...We will be the cause of your destruction."

I felt Wolvy pull me back. "NO. I will not tolerate this insolence any longer."

I used the wind to pick me up.

Flying over to Magneto, I raised my hand out towards the guards, Wind came crashing through a window and sent the guards hurtling through the door. I locked it shut with the wind. I sent pews to cover the door.

I turned to Magneto. The wind whipped wildly around me, my hair a white whirl around my face, my eyes flashed again, as if lightening were conjuring within them.

"Check mate." my powers weren't as strong inside, the building was holding them from being as strong as possible. Mother nature herself was brewing a storm right next to mine. I smiled.

"Lightening....strike...." The ceiling crashed in a wide circle, The plaster rained down, Magneto looked up.

Elektra

"watch who you are calling names."

I pulled out my sia, whipping it out in front of me, the blade whirled in a haze.

"Hope you enjoy metal against your skin." My words came out slow and I licked my lips. Time for the kill.

Grabbing my chinese stars, I let them go in a whirl. My anger was hindering my judgement, my master taught me NEVEr to allow myself to be angry...EVER.

This time, my human nature took over. Checkmate for the opponent, and one step closer to the ranks of losing for me...

One of the stars chipped his shoulder, He laughed. Drawing my sword, I had a one pronged sai in one hand, my katana in the other....

Using a finger, I beckoned him, I crouched a bit lower...ready for the kill...BUT I was angry, I didn't wait, I sent a serious of no-handed flips through the air, I landed in front of him....

Bullseye:

Spinning off to the side, Bullseye brought his elbow sharply in against the base of Electra's skull. The force of the blow sent forward the last two feet into the brick wall of the alleyway. She crumpled to the ground, unconcious. Bullseye snuffed with dissapointment, then picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. In less than fifteen minutes he leaned her form agaisnt the far wall of a steel barred cell in a warehouse he had rigged up. He quickly saw to binding her arms and legs and stripping her of all her little weapons. Satisfied with her captivity he broke a smelling salts under her nose to wake her then stepped out of the cell, latching and locking it as he did.

Joseph

Psylocke Cable Help me get out of here. Before he returns.
He is gonna kill me when he gets back. He keeps ranting and raving that I did something to ruin his plains. But I can't remeber it. Like i know both of your names. But I don't remeber how i know you. I go to stand but fall on the ground. Psylocke Cable please you got to help me!

Magneto

Magneto calmly looks around as the ceiling crumbles around him. The lightning flashes near him, illuminating him even more brightly than the many television camera lights. He smiles up at Storm...

"Ah, the Windrider... have you forgotten that lightning is part of the electro-magnetic spectrum? My domain?" The lightning bolts impossibly curve around him, and dart out to strike amongst the audience. Magneto laughs at the panick-stricken humans, then rises into the air...

Turning to the cameras, he speaks: "Homo Sapiens, your time on this planet is over. To prove how truly ineffectual you are, I am now going to fly to the famous Statue of so-called Liberty, and destroy it. I invite you to try and stop me."

Magneto then flies up through the hole Storm's attack had left.

Rogue

"Damn! Damn! Damn!," I said, each word carrying more force. This was not good...not good at all. I knew something like this was going to happen. Magneto just couldnt accept the fact that there just might be a chance of humans and mutants living together. Well, if there was he just screwed that up.

"We have to get to the statue and pronto,"I said to Wolverine and Gambit. And I have to get out of this stupid dress and into my fighting clothes. Sheesh, I knew I should have just gone with the casual look.

Ducking behind a curtain, I quickly changed, modesty be damned at a time like this. I was secretly glad now that Electra's little adventure had kept me from getting there in time cause I now had my suit with me. Exiting my changing area, I threw the dress on a chair and said,"I'm going after him, anyone need a lift?"

Mystique

As we neared the embassy the feeling that something was wrong almost took a life of it's own. Grabbing Saber's arm a little more tightly, I flew into the building.

Where the hell were all the guards? Not good, not good at all. It wasnt like I cared about them but the fact that they were not at their stations told me that something was amiss. A few steps into the building told me where they were.

Following the trail of unconscious guards, I came to Toad. "I knew he couldnt handle anything without us,"I said almost to myself as I hurried on. I knew now where whoever was in the building was headed-Magneto's special guest and we had better get there before he/she or they did or else it would be our hides.

Coming to the door where Joseph was kept, I realized it was too late...well, too late to stop the discovery but not too late to prevent them from escaping with the prisoner.

Looking in on the scene before me, I said,"Well, well, well...what do we have here? More guests for Magneto? You will be staying, wont you? It would be so very rude of you to leave. Saber, lets make our guests feel welcome."

Cable

I let go of Joesph for a second while I sized up sabretooth. I smiled wickedly.

"Ok Sabes you want me to fell confrotable, then get your big hairy ass over here so i can kick it"

Sabretooth moved closer, I drew my swords out and my right eye started to glow

"Let's Dance!"

Tag Sabes

Joseph

Mystique Sabertooth get out of the way.I will not stay here any longer.Move before my friends here have to move you.I hate to see what they will do to you. If you try to stop us.

Iron Man

He had remained outside, hovering over the UN Building in stealth mode at 5000 feet. Now, his helmet was filled with the sounds of battle. Then, the building itself seemed to erupt.

"Damn!" Iron Man muttered. "This is it."

His targetting computers locked on the hole that had been blasted through the roof. Any second now...

"Come on, you egomaniacal bastard."

Magneto floated through the gaping wound Storm had inflicted in the UN building.

"Bingo."

Twin repulsors flashed through the sky. Magneto never saw them coming, his attention still drawn by the X-Men. They struck him with enough power to demolish a small building, and he was blasted from the sky.

"Who dares?" the Master of Magnetism shouted as he fell.

With a thought, he stopped his plunge and began to scan the skies. Iron Man continued his evasive maneuvers, buying himself as much time as possible. He knew that he was vulnerable to the mutant's powers, but he could inflict a lot of damage in the meantime.

Magneto caught a glimpse of something flashing through the sky, and dodged just in time to avoid the pulse bolts that ripped through the ground below. With a wave of his hand, he summoned his powers and plucked the Avenger from the sky.

"Iron-clad buffoon! Are you so foolish that you would pit your power against mine?"

He smiled, and Iron Man felt himself flung through the air by the unseen energies. He smashed into the UN Building, plunging through the floor with a thundrous crash.

Satisfied, Magneto rose once again into the sky.

Thing, Wolverine

Thing

"I knew it was to good to be true!" I shout as I run over and grab ine of the large concrete columns that fall during the lightning attack.

Seeing Magneto's attention wasn't on me, I throw it at him hopeing it would strike its target.

Wolverine

"Damn it, why do I have to have a Adamantium skeleton right now?" I ask myself.

There is very little I can do in this situation, I see that everyone is attacking Mags so I move to the rear to guard them from the Brotherhood, if or when they decide to show up.

Iron Man

The crater was nearly 20 feet wide. When Iron Man had smashed through the floor of the UN Building, it was only blind chance that there were no innocent bystanders in his way. He had struck with the force of a bomb, shattering through the floor and into several sub-levels.

The crash had echoed throughout the building, startling hero and villain alike. Now, a few of the UN representatives were getting up the nerve to check out the smoldering hole that marked the armored Avenger's arrival.

"Move aside! Coming through!" Several guards, mostly SHIELD agents, stepped through the crowd. They weren't having much luck against the super-powered invaders, but they could at least keep the ambassadors from falling through the floor.

As they stared into the smoldering cavern below, one of the agents shouted and pointed into the depths.

"I see him! Holy shit, I see him!" he said.

"Good. Now shut the hell up and get the civilians outta the way." Another voice, deeper and stronger, replied.

Then, Iron Man rose from the crater, landing behind the agents. He didn't speak; he was too busy monitoring his armor's systems. The attack had been fierce, but he was basically unharmed. The UN Building had suffered more.

Finally, he turned to the ranking SHIELD officer. "Captain, you and your men have to get the civilians out of the building. If my sensors are correct, then the amount of damage inflicted by the battle has..."

A dull groaning sound seemed to come from everywhere at once. Everyone fell silent as the building itself seemed to rumble.

"...seriously weakened its structural integrity." Iron Man finished, gazing up at the ceiling. Large chunks of rubble were beginning to crumble and fall to the floor.

Shit, he thought. I could have been getting my ass kicked by Ultron.

Rogue

"Check that," I said to my fellow Xmen as the structure started crumbling around us. Iron Man had really taken a blow and I hoped he was alright but I had other problems right now. The only way to catch up to Magneto was to fly and I was goning to have to do that solo or have the extra weight slow me down.

"Catch up when you can,"I told Gambit and Wolverine,"And get everyone out of here! Storm? Ya comin or do I have to do this on my own?"

Without waiting for a response, I flew through the hole that Magneto's exit had made and took off for The Statue of Liberty and a confrontation.

Have no fear. Spiderman is here.
Spiderman jumped onto the scene... what the hell? Who invited everyone else? It was like a comic book collection gone horribly wrong.
He heard a loud dull groan coming up from the building. Oh crap, no time to deal with snappy comebacks, he had people to rescue. Quickly, his wide spray webbing came out.
He kept the large cinder pieces from falling, connecting unconnecting rods, and tried the best he could to delay the inevitable.
Thankfully, by the time he was done, just about everyone was out. The building was going to crash, hard. He had made a promise to not destroy any more buildings, damnit.
Well, this one he technically didn't destroy... sweet. He was still good.
Spiderman grabbed a young woman and webbed outside. After placing her on the ground he ran back inside.
<<<<CCCCRRRRRAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!!>>>>>
Spiderman looked up, everything was falling apart. He knew even his own webbing wouldn't help that. He ran back towards the door, but a large cinder piece blocked his way. He looked around desperate for a place to escape. Nothing... there had to be a back way out of here though. Where could it be?
Spiderman his himself on the head... in the back dumbass. Seriously, sometimes he wondered why people still let him be a superhero.
He ran, for fear webbing would bring the place down. Pieces of rock and cinder fell everywhere. He got hit in the back, but it was a small piece and he kept running. Now wasn't the time to look at small aches. It smarted though.
Spiderman jumped out to the back alley. It was a tight squeeze, but luckily he was as agile as three cats. He landed on the cold pavement, looking back up at the building.
It was a nice thought out plan, but he never actually thought that maybe outside might pose a threat as well. Not until he saw a piece of wall break off and fall right towards him, and hell, by then he didn't have time to react.

Iron Man

He watched as Spider-Man went into action, moving with all the speed and agility he was famous for. The other combatants were moving as well, momentarily stopping their combat in the face of greater danger.

Iron Man quickly scanned the building with his sensors, locating the points where the damage was most severe. If he could reinforce them before everything collapsed...

The readings began to appear on his sensors. He located several areas that posed immediate danger. Without a word, he flew toward them, preparing the necessary components to repair the damage.

His thoughts flashed briefly to Magneto. He had almost taken him down; the price that they would all pay for his failure could be high indeed.

Amid the chaos that had erupted in the UN, Iron Man got to work.

Magneto

The city shoreline was still wrapped in an early morning fog as Magneto neared the Statue of Liberty. The inability to see didn't matter much to the Master of Magnetism, as he could sense his location in relation to the Earth's magnetic field at all times.

That Avenger DARED assault me! These damned humans are long overdue for a lesson... Hmm... still foggy. I think I will wait until more can see as I destroy this. Richards is known to be elsewhere, but perhaps the rest of the Fantastic Four, or others of the metahumans who infest this city, will also come. No matter, they can become part of this demonstration of my power just as easily.
