I rarely PM unless we connect on a thread first...and I often say "no need to reply" in case the lady is not interested....

But courtesy and politenes always help...how can you start to seduce a lady if you have no idea what her passions and desires are??

I've been thinking of creating a thread with other Lit women where we give advice to men on how to connect with women on Lit... I think there's enough threads that list the stories of bad pm's, etc. I think the main issue is that men on Lit, not all of them of course, think that since this is an adult site, civility, courtesy, and intelligence don't matter.

I've been thinking of putting a description of all my likes/dislikes on my profile. The list would go on.

A profile could list all of one's likes and dislikes, but half the time it doesn't mean crap to those who read it. If they bother to read it.
