First off, if this is in the wrong section, I apologize and ask that it be moved accordingly.
Well folks, after lurking here for a long time, I finally decided to write a story (broken into 3 parts) that covers the areas of erotica that I like the most. It's my first story, and actually my first attempt at creative writing in around 10 years... so.. be gentle

The story is set as first person female, about a woman in a mutually conservative (sexually) marriage, who's sexual interests begin to evolve and advance. She devises a plan on how to change her marriage for the better, and the reader follows her as she executes the steps involved.
My favorite thing about erotic literature is that it often builds a well formed, 3-dimensional character whom the reader actually cares about (unlike mainstream porn, where the characters are hardly even 1-dimensional). To this end, I wanted to have the reader follow the protagonist's journey from vanilla to extreme, and hopefully identify with her while seeing the story as being plausible. This posed a number of challenges, as one might expect, with the hardest being showing the early stages of the transition without boring the reader. I am a bit worried that part 1 will be too vanilla to grab people's attention enough to read the next two parts, which is disappointing because the climax really doesn't occur until part 3. I hope readers stick around, because I think they will be rewarded.
Part 1 is finished and was submitted a couple days ago. Part 2 is nearly finished and should be submitted in the next 2 or 3 days. Part 3 won't take long after that, since the full story arc has already been worked out and just needs to be cast to text.
I'm considering giving more details as to specific genre-related things found in the story, but one of the devices I use is surprise and shock, so doing so may ruin the experience for the reader. If enough people really want to know, I'll reply here with the info. I will say, however, that its in the category of "Loving Wives".
