Scrumpy is proper cider.

Not the piss-water,like Strongbow, you buy in supermarkets.

You can strip car paint with it, and degrease ovens... <shudder>

:p

and please keep an industrial size can of milk of magnesia ready for the day after. you will hug and kiss that bottle - trust me.

Halo :rose:

I do like kippered herring, though. On crackers, with Bermuda onion. Stinks up the whole house. :D

That of course, is for after you've stopped chucking up all your insides, and after you are able to put your heels to the ground when you walk without being afraid that your head might fall off.

I had a Scottish breakfast last year, but I didn't get any kippers, damnit. I did get a couple mouthfuls of egg, something ham-like, another ham-like meat, 4 kinds of sausage, another unidentifiable piece of fried meat, something that light have been really thick bacon, and (for some reason) tomatoes. It was more meat than I eat in a week, all in one meal.

grilled tomatoes but no fried mushrooms? I was shocked. And no kippers? Are you sure you had that breakfast in Scotland and it wasn't just a weak english immitation? :D
By the way, how did you like Glasgow? I live on the east coast - shame we didn't know each other back then. I could have shown you what really happens under the kilt :D

Halo :rose:

Glasgow rocks. I was only there for a couple days, but the people were cool, the shopping was fun...the weather was grim, but all else was great. I went to a wedding, and the guests were downing more alcohol than I could drink soda and it didn't affect them at all! It was amazing.

todd - you really don't want to know what they are, and you really, really don't want to know what it tastes like *shudder*
