Marmite v Vegemite

Ok.

I have never experience either.

I'll go with Marmite because it sounds like it has meat in it...

That's like asking jam v marmalade. I love both.

If you like those, try vecon. Similar, but different.

They are different. I like both but when I was in Australia I couldn't get Marmite and I missed it.

When I came back to the UK the only place I could buy Vegemite was the shop in South Australia House until about 1966 when it was sold in a small convenience store in Earls Court, and later in the Safeways in King's Road, Chelsea.

Now I can buy Vegemite in any supermarket.

no meat in either they are both a by product of brewing. very high in vitamin B. i dont think it is very well liked by the the new world :D

No one should.

I'll eat the beef burgers and the vege burgers.
Both are yummy.

I prefer bean burger to things pretending to be meat. Meat will always be better than fake meat, but vegetables can be just as appealing when properly prepared.

Vegemite used to be made from the sludge of malted barley at the bottom of open brewery tanks after the beer was drained off. I knew a couple of men at the brewery who would dig out a pound or so to have with their lunch. It was especially popular with the Samoan and Fijian workers who would press it lightly and take some home for their families regularly.

Only a small amount went for vegemite, most of the rather fibrous material was pressed fairly dry and supplied to a dairy farm as stock feed. Contented cows. :)

The beyond burger and impossible burger are actually pretty tasty.

The new marmite and peanut butter mix is very popular on a toasted Bagel. it sounds so wrong but sounds so right. you may also want to try a Sprout vindaloo curry with Satans sweat chilli sauce........please dont try this with a naked Flame.

I’ve only tasted marmite. My dad used to eat it when I was a child. It’s the work of the devil! Awful stuff!
