With rare occasion - I find all the religious, political, anti-big corporate, anti-lawyer, anti-journalism - threads to be quite boring.......

Especially if they are really just "cut and paste" news stories.

At the very least - Todd for example - he keeps plugging "with his own (although twisted) thoughts." For the most part anyway.

I love the 1st Amendment - I do - I actually "work promoting it in RL." And I can't say, "don't."

But I can say, "most of it's boring."

And I can say, "this is a sex site."

And as boring as reasking the same old sex questions, and listing the same old bad/good movies, and going over and over - what's yer favorite whatever - those threads prove more interesting to me than any of the political threads.

Only the word game threads are more boring.

I tell ya what's interesting to me - and it should be to you too.

YOU! Who are you? What color are you? What is your preferred language? What blood lineage runs in you veins? What's the weather like where you are today? Do you have kids? Single? How's that going? How's yer car? How's yer apartment? How's yer job? Even, what's yer religion? (You pervert you!)

Sparky, just because you don't like something doesn't mean no one can. I don't love all the political threads but some I do find interesting. Using a grade school insult by calling someone a Whack Off isn't going to win you any points, and I don't see anyone who starts the political threads calling you anything at all. So that would mean...who has more maturity? Them, or you?

You can't change the board, I can't, no one can. So why don't you just go crawl back into your corner or start PMing people out of the blue with cryptic accusations. It's obvious you're incapable of a mature argument, and are nothing but a paranoid attention hog.

The point is manners…….

People stumble onto this board in only one way - they come here because "sex" has somehow drawn them here.

Sex – not politics.

And even though this particular board - referred to as the "General Board" - is wisely governed by our gracious hosts and their desire to tend it, 1st Amendment-like for the purposes of, "discussion of anything," - I find it a shame that much of a board where people have come upon it because of sexual matters, is taken up mostly by non-sexual manners.

Example:

If I opened a Barbecue Restaurant – Sparky’s BBQ - to sell barbecue oc course - but found myself gracious enough to invite my clientele, to "bring whatever else they wished to eat," into my establishment - and if over time, "some other cooks," took advantage of that graciousness and brought in, "their own food," and not even barbecue either - I would find that a shame.

As I find what is happening here a shame…..

And as for those who take such a fowl advantage - you should realize - you are being selfish and of bad manner.

You saying – “it's a big board, use your mouse" - is the equivalent of saying - "we got our food in the restaurant now, you said we could bring it in here – now sit over there and shut up."

I don't find this very considerate at all.

It's an insult to those of us who came here for sex and it's an insult to the hosts who created this site primarily for sex.

You act just like a bully, "saving seats," in a theater for his compadres who have not purchased tickets yet.

Sparky, I know this is a sex site and all, but as it's pointed out int he past, if we ONLY discussed sex most of the interesting people would have left long ago (including you, I suppose).

I don't find any of Markov's (or Todd's or WD's) topic's boring, I find their presentation and debate boring, and very, very high school. That doesn't mean I don't want to comment on their threads every now and then. I'm not ignoring them or anything.

It's kind of like what I said on the Goonies thread, about not hating the movie, but always wishing it were better. The cut and paste article topics are usually interesting, I just wish the dialogue were better.

So am I interested in Markov's threads? Sure. I'm just not all that interested in him.

Never, as one of the first 2 posters you mentioned, I didn't mean to imply he said "we can't" post political threads, but if he's such an advocate of sex ONLY on this site, that's not what this thread that he started is about. What's that aftershave you're wearing, Sparky...irony?

I like the mix. There's always something here to suit whatever mood I'm in, the political/debate threads are nice when I'm feeling serious, the fun threads are nice when I'm feeling mindless, and sex is good just about all the time.
