I have a collar, a dress, day wear one, and then the leather one he made from one of his belts....That with the D-rings is used in private. Realizing it is the one I am wearing in my AV...

I don't think that at all freaky. It is something the two of you want. That is what counts.

I have my leather collar which is for use 24/7, a cutting (plus a smaller one as well), branding, and there may be a tattoo and possibly more brandings and cuttings added in the future.

I am one of the "other"-votes ...

.. right now I have no sign of my ownership on my sub (and thinking about it - *insert stern look here* the one sign I ever bestowed on the submissive Lady of my Heart got lost!)

Truth is - the "local community" knows he is mine and he KNOWS he is mine. There is no sign on him and he occassionally acually wears another "ownership tag" (read:collar with ownership-tag) for very limited special occassions that I share with hisprevious Lady-Owner who I am igood friends with.

So I would say, while it was an issue for me in the past and might become one in the future, at present I don't care about "ownership tags" all that much - all parties concerned are well aware of WHO they belong to ... that is all I need.

I have my collar, fairly normal, but it isn't always appropriate to wear. So I also have my upper ear pierced, the only piercing I have, for those times. Note to all, if you have your cartilage pierced with a barbell, DON'T do it with a gun. I had mine done with a 16 gauge barbell with a piercing gun. Didn't hurt at first but about 30 seconds later...OMG.

He has always been clear that I do not HAVE to wear it, but I like it and the heavy feel of it on my neck.
I do take it off if I want to wear a different necklace with a particular outfit.

Keldun & I had no "Official" marks persay... he has a custom made 4 inch heavy leather collar & a hand braided ( by me ) leash for at home ( Or for pics.. see the pic thread of his..) which he has asked to wear in public but I will not allow just yet... maybe to Shadowplay or a munch J&R aren't attending...if they haven't killed it for us...
We have gone out for supper & outings...
He wears a spiked collar & I will wear my custom 1 inch thick soft leather one with a key on it, we dress very nicely & until you look at our necks you would think we are a "nice" couple...these collars are the max I can do at this time even though he very much wants to be "taken for a walk"

We also have matching leather cuffs for in the summer when collars are just too constricting for me... I wear mine on my ankle (I am in sandles unless it is snowing) & he wears his on his upper arm...

He has also talked of getting "property of Stegral" tattoo'd on his arm, to which I am VERY uncomfortable with as tattooing is PERMANENT & it would be my luck that just after he got that done something would happen...
(which did... we are no longer together)

He was normally the "sub" of this couple but on that rare occasion we did "switch" when I just can't do the dom/top role anymore as most of my life I have been "conditioned" to be submissive first by my mother & then by most of my b/f's...it is hard for me to come out of the "wanting to please" mindset

we do tend to rather enjoy biting/chewing on each others necks for that "hickey" looking mark...

Err, I'd not recommend *ANY* piercing with a gun, even lobes with studs. *shudders* Not the sign of a good piercer by any stretch of the imagination.

Interesting Thread Hajar--- I have one Tattoo that my daughter drew for me on my left shoulder -- I am not owned by no one at this time BUT WILL NOT have any names other than my daughters put on me -- now something like PET in a discreet area -- maybe but his or her name nope sorry couldn't ever do it

I am open to tat, piercing and collars/tokens, not so into brandings and cuttings, for some reason, though I'm known to be flexible about it and change my mind. So far the boys only have collars and they aren't always on, and mr. netz obviously has his ring. He'll probably be getting a PA this year if I like how things are going.

Collars ~ I have Soron's collar, black leather with antiqued brass fittings, which he placed around my neck as His slave in just over one year ago. It is worn every night, as well as some private occasions during the day. We’ve thought about finding something else that could be worn in public to signify the chains that bind us, but so far nothing that we've seen while shopping together has been to his liking. It would have to be something discreet because of the nature of my job.

Piercings ~ my nipples are pierced, I wear plain gold hoops that close with a matching bead. Future piercings are entirely at His discretion, and I wouldn't object to more if it pleased Him.

Tattoos ~ I have none, but we did window shop the design books at a parlor in Tampa last year. Lower back tattoos, just above the cleft in a woman’s bottom can be extraordinarily beautiful if done well... especially when those cheeks are glowing.

Brandings ~ the last time that we discussed this topic, He was against the idea of any major scarring on my skin.

Cuttings ~ although we have no plans for this type of marking, I won't say that it could never happen. The thought of knife play, and knives in general used to scare the heck out of me- but my fears have dissipated with time. Drawing a drop or two of blood during a rape scene, a scenario that He enjoys, wouldn’t bother me today... and he has in-depth knowledge of safety in play.

We have seen photographs of some very delicate scarification designs that are every bit as beautiful as tattoos- they only difference is that they have no coloration. They are hand cut into the skin at uniform depths to produce a pale, raised design on the skin when healed.

Wedding rings ~ aren’t a possibility at this time because of certain circumstances. But, as we discussed long ago- His collar holds much more meaning than a paper certificate and a set of shiny rings. We made a loving, permanent commitment to one another as Master and slave. Only one wears His collar, and it is truly an honor and privilege to be that one.

Other ~ I have a silver chain bracelet of His that he placed around my wrist when we first met in person, in January of 2003. It was worn 24/7 until the clasp weakened. I also have a waist chain with tiny slave bells that I wore when we renewed Our Vows of Committment earlier this month. I can't wear it every day for obvious reasons, but the sound that the bells make is heavenly.

If He ever chose to have my body physically marked, it would be for His pleasure- and for him alone to admire unless he made the decision to share its existence with others. As far as attending lifestyle events, I would wear His collar as an outward sign of His ownership, and our love and devotion to one another.
