For someone who adores manis, I love how you work your gorgeous nails into your pictures... the purple on the wet thighs... it's beautiful. I also love the contrast on the perfect varnish with the chipped base on the boat.

Thanks so much, Lizzie. I love that you noticed the chipped boat contrast, which was part of the urge for me to take that photo.

The funny part is that I NEVER have polish on my fingernails. I mean, maybe one other time in 30 years. I love toe nail polish in summer, but always just buff the fingernails. I just fell in love with this color when they put it on my toes, and couldn't resist. It won't be long till I swipe it off so I thought I'd take advantage of photo opps while I had them.

The Ospreys are much more menacing with those hooked beaks. I see blue herons fairly often, but rarely the little green ones. Just caught this pic, gliding past a dock.

Yes, he's known me since 1972. He's well aware of my eccentricity. He knows when to call me on my shit, and when to let it be.

Mine are sadly bloomless this year. Must have been a hyper-local freeze at just the wrong time. I've gotten only this one flower. Go on, bury your face in it...
