meet ManWoman....a canadian pop artist who has some of the coolest pieces...themes to his work....i'm not even sure what site led me to him....but talk about a fun find......now.....his work is not for everyone....i'll caution anyone now...that's really sensitive to sacrilegious stuff...that there are some that might offend you....do not proceed.....or if you do....don't be mad 'cause ya looked anyway....<wink>

oh..and check out ManWoman's (i think he goes by Manny)...swastika stuff.....he's apparently on a lil crusade to reclaim the swastika...."For many millennia, before it was appropriated by the Nazis, the swastika was a symbol of good luck and prosperity. Almost every race, religion and continent honored the swastika."....interesting lil read....he really seems like a cool guy....

I forget where I originally heard about ManWoman, it was in connection with his swastika theming. Very cool stuff.

- Inmate Lemont Fullers says he is certain of his sexual identity, but everyone else is confused.

The Lorain County Jail classifies Fullers, a 42-year- old female impersonator, as a woman. He is charged under the name Carla Brenner with stealing and using a credit card more than seven years ago.

The inmate insists his given name is Lemont Fullers, although he said he has used other names while traveling across the country working as a woman. He has impersonated women on stage and in beauty pageants since age 16, he said.

The issue of his sexual identity came up last week after a woman claimed he was placed in her cell at the Lorain County Jail and she saw his genitals.

Jail administrators left Fullers' status unchanged but placed him in isolation, Sgt. Dominic Manacci said. The isolation is not punishment but gives the jail time to investigate, Manacci said.

Fullers stressed that he has never had a sex change surgically and does not want to. He did have surgery as a teenager to remove his testicles after a severe hernia, he said.

Many times, he said, jail nurses and doctors have examined him and concluded he was a woman. But, "I know what I am," he said, "and that is a man." Fullers was indicted in Lorain County in 1995. He was extradited here this year after authorities discovered he was serving time in a women's prison in Illinois under the name Carry Rodgers. The issue of his gender arose there as well, a prisons spokesman said.

He would not say how Illinois concluded that Fullers should be housed in a female prison, only that Fullers was "appropriately placed."

Fullers was transferred at one point to a men's prison in Illinois but was transferred back to the female population after only a day, records show. Prison officials would not say why he was sent to the men's prison.

In an interview, Fullers said he has never tried to deceive anyone. "I was just looking out for my safety," he said, explaining that he was beaten and raped in the men's prison. "Men in jail don't treat people like me very nicely."
