Having gotten one too many ads I'm curious, how popular is it for guys to manscaped?
And what are ladies opinions/preferences on the practice?
Shaves his chest and bits? Sounds quite manly!
"and I just wanted to have a body wash."
Funnily enough, I was talking to a friend about this the other day. I think it's currently pretty common among single guys (the only variety I've seen naked in the last couple of years). Personally, as a general rule I'm fine either way ... although I do appreciate someone putting in some effort. But that could be anything - wearing a nice scent will do it as well. The guy I'm seeing at the moment takes everything off around his genitals ... apparently the guys he works with asked him why tf he bothered, and he just asked them when the last time was they go their balls sucked. And it is true, that's an activity that's more pleasant with no hair involved. He also shaves his chest - I actually don't care at all about hairy chests, but if it makes him happy, then yay.
This is definitely a change. When I was young (around the neolithic era some time), I was lucky if my boyfriend had showered. I truly did not give a fuck.
I do think shaving must be a pain though. I wax any hair I want to get rid of.
Being a guy with a hairy chest I did think about this when it came to trimming down there, the lack of subtlety in the transition I guess.
I'll admit I had a giggle reading the comment immediately after, I'd be willing to bet the well groomed guy you're seeing is doing better than most of the guys on here
That describes me....waxed downstairs, stomach and back. Moderate hair on chest that I don't mind, but much prefer the feeling of bare skin, especially against someone else.I'm not a lover of the man bush, at least trimmed or preferably shaved. I've always preferred the look and feel of bare skin to body hair, but for some reason I do like a hairy chest![]()

Um, what is "manscaped?"
TIA

It's not just pubic hair. Manscaping is the trimming or shaving of all hair other than the hair on your head. You can limit it to your pubic hair, but that's not the definition.
There's an actual definition? People have too much time on their hands.

True, I always thought it was dumb to create a whole term for it.
Personally, I actually like it when a man is hairy in all kinds of ways, though it's his choice if he wants to shave his body hair.
I never could understand the idea of a woman liking a man with a beard but hairless everywhere else. I also don't understand the intense dislike some women have over men with hairy backs.
Not that I'm either of those things. I'm actually the least hairy of all the guys in my family. And of course I have wavy hair and everyone else has dead straight hair.
I blame the milkman. My mom disagrees but with a twinkle in her eyes. Which makes me suspicious about the mailman too.

Every time I see a man with wavy or curly hair, I have the urge to braid it!![]()
Which is ultimately better than a woman digging her fingers into my beard because it feels so familiar yet strange at the same time.
