After reviewing the thread ........my sister myself.......for about the fifth time.....I wonder......

Why is the pictures of two nude females kissing or making love much more acceptable by the general public than two nude males?

I would like to hear your comments.

The obvious answer is that men are more threatened by there homoerotic side. Women, i believe are less so, and maybe that is because our erotic side has traditionally been more passive in nature. Lesbian encounters offer, at least in theory an escape from the traditional role. Men are also attracted by two women together because i think women remain mysterious to them in a sexual sense. Thus the need for so many men to control "their women."

In other words i haven't a fucking clue.:p

It is more acceptable for us women to be more open about it.....because it is part of our nature to be so loving.....not only to men, but to ourselves. We hug and kiss more than men in public, whereas men use their loving nature to direct it towards their object of desire...and society accepts that as a standard rule for common behaviour.

Don't worry, alltherage2......I might be wrong too, though I don't think I am.....so in that case....I have a fucking clue, but I don't know if society will take my word for it.....

LOL!:D

My take on it.......
I think it's quite simple...women can and do appreciate and see beauty in both men and women much more easily than most men do. I know when my wife and I are out, if I see a beautiful woman and comment to her about it, she'll generally agree and even point out a thing or two about the gal, however, if she see's a guy she thinks is a real hunk, I generally don't see it (sometimes I do, but as a general rule I'd have to have her point out to me why he's good looking). I also believe (as she does) that most women are bisexual, for the same reason stated above,
that's not to say most woman are practicing bisexuals, but certainly more apt to an encounter than men.
I'll hand it to them (women), this is a case where they are clearly superior.

Men... are afraid.

Plain and simple... us men are afraid of homosexual encounters. We think it makes us less of a man somehow - although I really don't know how.

That and... men just don't have the bodies that you ladies do! ;-)

Its one of those things society pressures you into thinking - "Gay is wrong; Gay men have small cocks; Fags deserve to be beaten down..." We're told this BS the moment we leave the womb to the moment we are laid to rest.

Although I have never had an encounter with another man, I'm not a very masculine individual. Because I am not the most forward of people, it has been assumed several times in my past (by co-workers, friends, and even family members) that I am gay. Its a hard rap to beat once you've been labled "gay". I suspect that my co-workers still think I'm a little queer...

If ever given the opportunity to try out another man, I wouldn't do it... too many hassles come attached with just trying it out - too much to be afraid of... There should be more open minded people in this world - I wish men would learn just to be honest with themselves and each other. I suspect that there would be more bi-curious men out there then then what there are today if it wasn't for the hatred that's been drilled into our heads.

(Sorry - but as you can tell, this is a bit of a sore subject for me...)

In my eyes it is because for the longest time we have lived in a Male dominated society. We are now slowly but, surely having a balance of power. So the way I see it Men saw it ok for Women to have sex with other women because it pleased the man since in a way (sorry if this sounds sexiest not meant too) a woman was not an equal to a male. I personally see it that whatever turns a person on go for it long as it doesn't have anything to do with kids, family, or Animals.

P.S. sorry if I offened anyone

I beleive alot of if has to do with male pride and ego. We are generally fueled by those two things. If you find another man attractive or encounter a bisexual experience, you are looked at as less of a man because men are supposed to be attracted only to females. That's pretty much the way the male ego has set the standards by which our gender lives more or less.
It's unfortunate that it isn't more acceptable and maybe someday that will change (I highly doubt it but you never know :)).

Anyway, I'm not going to get off on a rant here so I'll cut it short.

Have a pleasant evening

It's this simple...!

This is only my opinion okay....?

But I think that this question is easily answered without any in-depth analysis...

Everybody is attracted to a beautiful thing... so if there is a truly edible lady - then at least some ladies and most guys will be attracted.

On the other hand... most males (including the Midas man) don't see any kind of beauty in another male because it's not in our nature.

To see two ladies together is something that is a Macho thing... I guess you could say it's a big fantasy with most of us because there are so many more positions etc that can be enjoyed with a 3 some.

I will start with a dollar and need 98 cents change please

Ok here is my take on the matter:

I dont think its male pride, because with that, we pride our selfs in the way we look, and when people of both sexes comments on it we enjoy it.

I dont think it is just the beauty of the female body, I enjoy looking a males also and I am sure there is a couple of women in here that would agree with me.

Male dominance plays no part in what were enjoy in privite guys, if you have to be continuely looking over your shoulder to if you fit into the group, will maybe you are keeping the wrong company.

Just because you are afraid of something (homosexual encounters) dosnt make you any less of a man....its not for everyone....with mine I found out I didnt like it ....but that has not keep me away from viewing the nude male body.

Being "GAY" is not just a man thing it applies for women also....so I thing in the most part....the general public looks upon it with hateful attitueds....but still they enjoy looking at two females together....so I dont think thats it.

I do agree that women of all types, straight, bi, and gay, do enjoy and have peace with showing thier emotions. It is aceptable to watch two female embrace at any public gathering,
partys, church, school, and anywhere they meet. Men on the other hand tend to hold thier emotions inside not letting them out for the general population to see. And with that the general public acepts two nude women together and not two men.

PS....This is part of sharing........Did I mention that sharing is a good thing?

I don't know. I don't think I'm old enough yet to have this answer. Nor ever will be.

Guys like to watch two women - kiss et al.

Do women like to watch two men or do you feel threatened by it - they don't need you?:)

I think that's the way it is

Interesting line of thought Rick... That one could use some more exploration.

I've always felt its the whole social stigma... Its taken some time for Lesbianism to << nearly >> become socially acceptable. We, as a society, have barely begun to work on the stigmas associated with gay men.

As a side note, I'd like to state a couple of my opinions << and we all know about those... >>
a) Society Sucks, and who the fuck are they to dictate to me my conduct?
b) Normal is but one person's opinion...
