Male vs. Female - Exploring Stereotypes

#1.... AC/DC is ok, I don't listen to them but neither do I change the station if a song comes on. "back in black and Highway to hell" are probably the 2 I could sing along with.

#2. If you mean porn then I would agree, most men are more interested in porn than women or at least more interested than me. I never watch porno films, and I don't keep any porn on my pc.

#3. cuddling is a must before sex, after sex, just for fun.

Stereotype: It's more important to women to cuddle after sex than it is to me. True?

ok, I'll play.
I like AC/DC; prefer naked men (but in many ways like to the pics of non-perfect, but really men. Does that make sense? *shrug*)
I like cuddling after sex and any other time as well. Sweetie - not really.

Cuddling is I think more important to women than men...

Cuddling, can get me in the mood for sex if I hadn't been prior, so you know it never hurts to give a good cuddle, you never know what it might lead to....

Cuddling after sex.... Mmmm.... just delicious! Especially, while you're still hot and sweaty!

That song and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" are really the only thing AC/DC has done that I like. I can barely tolerate the rest their music.

I'm a guy, so I guess I'm a counter-example to the stereotype that guys like AC/DC (or heavy metal in general.)

The rogue I play on my mmorpg has "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" as his personal slogan (other players see this when they inspect him). But I like a lot more AC/DC than just this.
Also like visual porn, as anyone who've seen my threads, knows.
Don't like after cuddling, but that has more to do with the kind of sex I like than a male-female difference, I think.

I just love stereotypes! Let's see *checking between thighs* Yep, there's an innie not an outie. :D

#1 I LOVE AC/DC..."The Jack" is my favorite. I also love Metallica and a host of other metal bands.

#2 I am very visually oriented regarding sex. I think I prefer to see nude women, but I also love to see nude men. And I will completely own up to the fact that I am sexually aroused by both.

#3 Get the hell off me!! That's my thought to the cuddling. I like to lay close, catch my breath and talk (more sexy banter than actual conversation) but no cuddling.

My dude becomes more cuddly during and after sex than me, I like it for a short duration, but he prefers to go the whole cuddly hog- where I become squished and distorted in such a fashion as to be called a human pillow. I either want more sex or some snooze.

I like literary porn and visual porn, though visual porn has terrible acting most of the time, and the actors are rarely as desirable as the ones in my scheming mind.

Hey Gorgeous.

Okay. I prefer some hot, sweaty, hard sex but I like to cuddle as well. It is all about the mood.

So put one down for a guy who likes to cuddle when appropriate but NEVER instead of sex.

I like AC/DC a lot though not as much as the males I know that like them.

What if "shook me all night long" is playing while I peel a banana and you drill for oil?

:D

I actually like to cuddle less than my husband does, but we both enjoy it a lot. I'm more apt to roll over and go to sleep afterwards though.

And I am very visual, although I don't need visualization by any means. It certainly does help and I really enjoy watching porn to get things even hotter.

When I look to the left in your post - I enjoy visualization a whole bunch :p

How about a new stereotype from you to keep this thread going?

I guess this means i'm a sterotypical male . I love Ac/Dc . I love football and most other sports. I like the occasional beer .And i'm a porn junkie . But I also enjoy art, especially film and music. Good literature, and a good bottle of merlot. I guess what i'm trying to say is that even though i am typical in many ways , i try to expand myself out of those drudgeries.

Stereotype: Women are more nurturing than men.

IMO, it depends on the person. My brother is a much better father than my sister-in-law is a mother. She's good at the cooking, cleaning, organizing, etc, but he enjoys spending time with them, playing with them, and teaching them things. I've often seen my nieces run to him after getting hurt even though their mother is there.

That's true for everyone, I believe. While we all meet certain stereotypes, we all step outside of the box at least occassionally. I love football, nascar, and porn too, even more than many men. I hate to cook, clean, sew, decorate, and quite a few other "female" things.

Stereotype #4 : Women are more nurturing than men.

I think for the most part this is true.

Do you mean this to apply only to one's children?

Does it have anything to do with if you breast feed your kids?

It doesn't have to apply to children, just the example that came to my mind involved children.

It could have to do with breast feeding I guess. My sister-in-law didn't breast feed so my brother also spent a lot of time feeding the kids. Personally, I think even if a woman does breast feed, she should pump enough so the father can also feed and bond, although I'm sure it's not quite the same with a bottle.

It seems that males who have problems with emotional intimacy also suffer from a lack of nuturing skills. No?

Well that makes perfect sense however, again using my brother, he does have a problem with emotional intimacy except with his kids. Although, since having them, he has gotten better with the rest of us.

I fail the nurturing one too. :( Decided at nine I would never have or adopt kids and never changed my mind.

I've got two I want to throw out for o-pinions:

5. Men gossip far less than women do.

6. On average a woman's sex drive is not as strong as a man's.
