Male underwear for female body question

So I'm not sure if I'm in the right spot or not. I'm 33, born female, and just recently came to terms with my gender fluidity. Right now I'm in such a strong male state that certain female items I've worn/used my whole life just feel...wrong. I'm not FtM, I don't at the moment have any plans for surgery or hormones, but I do want to ride this out and see where it takes me.

Right now I'm looking for boxer briefs that are affordable, snug but available in larger sizes (I wear a men's L-XL), and have a small or no pouch in the front as I have no current interest in stuffing. Since I anticipate switching between genders for the rest of my life, I'd like to not spend a fortune on expensive clothing. Just something I can get a multi-pack of, like Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I really don't know what I'm doing.

It might be easier if you went DOWN a size, if possible. All men's underwear, has a pouch including boxers, they usually have the smallest ones, as the are straight hanging

This was FANTASTIC advice, thank you. I did order a size down and they fit well. If I'd ordered true to size, they would have been huge and uncomfortably baggy in the crotch. Turns out I don't care for the band around my leg so I might need to re-visit the style, but the fit was spot on.
