Male rape n prisons: What doesn't make sense..

Well not necessarily just in prisons, there's something I don't understand if it's the regular occurrence we are led to believe: How come we don't hear of hear of revenge, ie: Murder as a retaliation?

I recall a situation in my teens when I was 'confronted' by a group of rather large overtly gay men in a 'Gents' in Europe. Something was said by one of them and I remember vividly my retort: 'Whatever you guys think you're gonna do you'd better make sure you kill me after, because one by one I'll hunt you down and not rest until I kill every one of you'. I didn't say that out of bravado but genuine fear and anger. If you guys are like me I couldn't live with myself knowing that happened and they lived. For sure I'd have turned myself in after, but I'd have hoped I'd get sympathy from the judge?...

It just makes me wonder whether male 'victims' are always as reluctant as is made out in view of the way I feel?...

I don't know why you don't hear about it. It's a huge problem that's pretty well known. Prison psychologists have to take special training every 2 years to learn how to deal with it, because it's very difficult to deal with. It normally doesn't get to murder just because guards are so well trained that they break up the fight before it gets that far, but the outbursts and the violence that result from a rape victim being confined with their rapists are well known and considered a huge problem that has special training meant to deal with it.

I'm talking when these rapists get out. If indeed they do of course. And yes, imo, if they're not subsequently murdered or at the VERY least utterly humiliated, then the anger felt by the victim obviously wasn't enough..

I think with rape, it breaks people. You put the pieces together and fix them with glue but the cracks will always be there. For the rest of their life they have to struggle to cope with that violation. The physical act isn't the worse part, the emotional scars are.

It may be worse for a male victim because idiots like you will refuse to believe that it could happen to a guy unless he really wanted it.
