Male Babysitter

Janice had been surprised to see her mother's car in the driveway when she arrived home. She must have come home from work... or just not gone, perhaps. She hopped out of the back-seat of Becca's car, waving to her friends still in the car. She had to come home and do homework right after practice before being allowed to go do anything else. The rest of the girls were pretty understanding... they teased her a little now and then, but they couldn't say too much... they didn't really know what was going on. She'd never live that down.

She made her way up the drive slowly, her head filled with the routine they had been working on. She was a bit of a perfectionist when it came to her routines. She planned most of them, and then they practiced... and practiced. It was her last year in high school, and she was determined to win the championship this year. The school hadn't won the Nationals since her mother's days... They'd always been eliminated in the State final. Janice was hoping to change that, to make her mom proud.

She reached the door, and opened it quietly, walking in. The sound of the shower reached her ears. She didn't look up just yet, instead turned around and neatly slipped her shoes from her feet, and put her backpack away. She was dressed in a tank top and jean skirt, having showered and changed after practice. She smoothed an imaginary ruffle in the skirt, before turning around and looking around...

"Mom? Tom?" she called...

Mrs Hughes

OOC: My apologies for the delay, but finding it a little difficult to continue at the moment. I don't know if I'm out of ideas or what, and this has been a really good thread for me to just come up with a crappy post.

OOC no worries hopefully this post will move things forward again :)

IC

Tom eyes widened if that was possible , Janice was here, he simply couldn't be caught and it seemed the sound of the shower had masked his tiny outburst from Mrs Hughes.

Looking down at his pants he adjusted them quickly trying to hide an unwelcome sight.

Slowly he took a step out of the room and turned a corner, Janice wasn't in sight and the good news was that her room was on the other side of the shower the bad news was to be caught upstairs right now would require an explaination that he simply couldn't provide.

Tom made his way to the stairs and took a few steps down , taking a deep breathe he said "Ah I'm downstairs Janice I have Hendersons English assignment half done and I can help you with it , ah if you like."

With that Tom quickly made his way back to the living room where all his books were, in his mind he saw Mrs Hughes naked body , maybe one day he'd see it again maybe one day he'd see Janice without clothes, he put his head over his homework hoping that he could escape this day without making a total fool of himself.

Janice turned and got her books out of her backpack. Homework. Right. "Half done already? I swear, you are the fastest worker... I haven't even started yet... Is it difficult?" she asked him, making her way into the living room as well. She looked at him, sitting at the table with his books and smiled slightly. She did enjoy spending time with him, even if she did resent the fact her mother saw her as needing a babysitter... which meant he saw her as more immature than her. Even if he was only a few months older than her.

In any case, she was sure in some respects she had more life experience than him. She hadn't ever seen him with a girl, or even taking any interest in them. Maybe he was a late bloomer, is what her mother had said when she mentioned it. Janice had been an early bloomer. She'd been awkward in middle school, eons ahead of most of her peers as far as development had been concerned. She'd looked older than her years her whole life, which is probably why her mother had been so protective. Men liked to think she was older and more worldly than she was...

She made her way to the table, shaking her still damp hair from where it was sticking to the back of her neck.

"Is it hard?" she repeated to Tom, who hadn't answered her yet.

"What" Tom said a little too loudly, his eyes flicked to his leg, what was she taking about? what was hard had she seen his penis pushing the boundaries of his pants.?

He was flushed , he felt hot, he knew why that was but didn't understnad what he was feeling and there was Janice in a skirt and top and ...and his mind wandered for a moment Mrs Hughes and Janice were naked and let him touch he'd seen that in his dreams and all that he had seen in the last few minutes seemed to reinforce the mess his life had become since Mrs Hughes had hugged him, was that only yesterday.

He realised he hadn't spoken for several seconds and then in a moment of clarity he understood " Ahhh no not really hard just a few simple questions about the list of books he wanted us to read last month should be easy if you read the books"

He looked at her, he'd seen her reading some of the books but didn't know if she had read the lot "You did read them all, didn't you" he asked trying not to imply that she wouldn't.

"Of course I read them. Thats what you are here for... to make sure I do my school work, remember?" she told him, taking a seat at the table. "Are you okay? You looked flushed... the flu is going around, maybe you are coming down with something?" she asked. She opened her book the get the sheet of paper with the questions on it, putting a notebook of lined paper infront of her on the table, and looking about for a pencil or a pen.

Luckily, there was one still on the table from a previous days homework. She had no idea what was going on in Tom's mind, she only noted the flushed face and distracted attitude. Normally he was more attentive.

She shrugged to herself and leaned over to start her homework, inadvertently giving him a good look down her shirt, if he chose to look. Normally she might be conscious of doing something like that, but this was Tom... she didn't think of him like she did other guys - she was comfortable around him, and didn't feel like he was constantly trying to get her. It was a good thing she couldn't read his mind, or else she might be covering herself up around him...

"Yeah I'm fine" his voice a little higher than normal , he didn't feel like had the flu but maybe that would explain a few things.

He looked over at Janice as she settled down to start her homework and saw once again a view that most of the males at school would love to have he could see right down her top her firm wonderful gravity defying breasts where in full view...so close all he had to do was reach out and slip his hand between her top and her body and hold them, then she'd...

His mind shocked itself out of the vision he understood thge mechanics of reproduction it was a small but required part of his schooling a couple of years ago, but he'd gotten only the sanitised version rather than the more detailed and according to what he'd heard the more graphic version which his old school had offered to those who's parents were more open minded about sex.

What knocked him out of his vision of his hands on the firm breasts of Janice was that he actually didn't know what came next, what did one do from there.

The lack of knowledge scared him partly because he hated not knowing things but because now he wanted to know but had no idea where to find that info.

He forced his eyes to the assignment in front of him but he couldn't stop looking down her top and the hardness down the side of his thigh won't go away his pants again felt tight.

"I need a glass of water" he said suddenly standing up "do you?"

Janice looked him over when he claimed to be fine. Something was definitely wrong with him, but she didn't want to push it. She quietly worked on her English assignment for a few minutes, while Tom silently thought about her body... and her mother's body. Dangerous thoughts for a babysitter to consider, the body of the girl under his watch. Sure, she was 18 now, but... her mother had hired him specifically because she didn't think he would put the moves on Janice.

If only Mrs. Hughes could hear his thoughts about the two of them...

Janice looked up as Tom stood, saying he was going to get water. "I'm ok, thanks" she told him. She looked at him oddly for a moment, as she caught a glimpse of the bulge in his pants... She blushed and turned her eyes away quickly. Back to her homework. This was awkward, and had never happened before. Had he been looking at her? She considered it. Probably not. He was a young male, but he'd never shown interest in her before. He was probably day dreaming about some celebrity or internet pornstar or something. Whatever it was that turned him on. It wasn't her - she didn't have that affect on him... did she?

Tom got to the kitchen poured a glass of water for himself and drank it quickly , he lent against the kitchen sink and looked outside wondering if he should just leave, his breathing was ragged , he so wanted to be able to do what other guys did , he knew for sure that there were some guys from school who would have known what to do.

Would now how to approach both ladies in this house and charm them, but not him. He sighed what to do ? he recalled a few weeks ago seeing from a distance the quaterback of his high school team walk up to Janice's friend Denise, the jock had come at the head cheerleader from behind and simply placed both hands where the breasts where, Denise had then kissed the quaterback.

Would that work with Janice? was that how confident guys were with girls? he shook his head it seemed wrong but he'd seen it work.

Returning to the living room Janice had her back to him , he walked forward his arms out trying to picture the quarterback, and then he stopped . With a sigh of defeat he gave up who was he kidding.

Tom moved back to his place but instead of returning to work he simply sat back and looked ahead right down her top again.

He then without realising it engaged mouth before engaging brain. "Janice if you don't mind me asking do you have a breastfriend, I mean bestfriend who is a boy, I mean do you have a boyfriend"

As soon as he asked it he regretted it not only because of his slip of tougne but because he had no idea why he'd ask that question in the first place.

OOC: Freudian slip!! It is refreshing to read both your posts, I'll try to come up with something here.

Ahhhhh.

I let out a soft moan as I stepped out of the bathroom. It was always nice to have a day like this, to just stay away from work and everything else, and to spend some time on myself.

Not to mention that I felt a lot better after the running - I looked down at my tummy and thighs and could imagine them to be slightly more toned.

After drying my hair with my towel I thought twice about what to wear. Normally I wouldn't give much consideration at home, but I felt like pampering myself a little. I thought I might go with sweat pants and a t-shirt again, but it was getting really warm inside. And there was nothing more I hated than to start perspiring again after such a cooling shower.

Instead, I went with something lighter, a white thong with a white chemise with minimal red and white striped patterns. I was a little surprised that it came up pretty short (to above the middle of my thighs), and that there were slits on the sides that came up well above my hips. The thought of Tom downstairs in the living room came to mind, but I dismissed it. I treated him like a son in certain aspects, and he was harmless. I scoffed lightly to myself though, when I imagined Mr Steppes leerly stares if he ever caught me in this outfit.

So that was that. Plus it was way too comfortable for me to change my mind any more.

As I walked towards the top of the staircase, I heard voices coming from downstairs. Tom, and Janice. As a side thought, I wondered how much time I must have spent in the showers.

I treaded softly down the staircase, feeling the soft carpet caress my bare soles. Then I heard parts of the conversation.

"....I mean do you have a boyfriend"

And then I stopped in my tracks, still out of sight from the living room. This was interesting, and I was curious myself. I haven't had the chance to talk to Janice like I had promised Tom yesterday, but it seemed like he had garnered enough courage to ask her himself.

I stood there now, hiding in the shadows, waiting for my daughter's answer.

OOC: I'll wait happily :D This is probably one of the few threads that actually promises a storyline. I was just wondering though - if somehow things don't work out between the characters will you be willing to continue playing it out? As in, if things don't happen on the first try I mean. Of course eventually they will get somewhere.

She shrugged at Tom's behaviour and briefly returned her attention to the assignment, while he was in the kitchen, trying to push the questions in her mind to the side and concentrate on the work.

Do you have a boyfriend? he asked. The answer was, of course... no. Boyfriends didn't last long when your curfew was 10, and you couldn't have them over because you had a babysitter. Her relationship experience was just about non-existent... none of her relationships had been longer than a month.

She looked at Tom for a long moment before replying... "No. I do not have a boyfriend. Why do you ask?" she questioned him, tilting her head to the side, curiously. He didn't typically ask much about her life - today he seemed different than he had all the times before.

She looked at him still, blue-gray eyes curious to what his answer would be. Maybe, maybe he was going to ask her out. She didn't think he would - and she wasn't sure she could say yes if he did. Her mother had hired him because he wasn't trying to get her... she would never approve. Not to mention what the girls would say - he wasn't really all that popular. But then, she could probably convince the girls to think he was great. Her mother was the biggest obstacle. Not that it mattered. He had probably just heard a rumour and way trying to clear it up or something.

She was subject to a few rumours. Being popular had its disadvantages, and that was one of them. But Denise always said 'If people are not talking about you, it means you are invisible, and don't exist.' To be popular was to be talked about - to be unpopular was to be ignored. She'd rather be talked about.

Tom felt relief that she seemed to be ignoring his blunder and a small part of him wondered if that relief had a lot to do with her answer.

He chilled himself for even thinking he had a chance with her for months he'd understood that Janice Hughes was so far beyond him that he need never worry about anything actually happening between them. Maybe it ws enough that she actually spoke to him at her house, maybe that was all he could expect from life.

He certainly had no expectations of anything else when it came to females.

Tom could feel a slight blushing of his face and then stammered out a reply " ah ....no reason ...no just you know , I expected you to have one but wasn't sure" His head went down and he continued to work on the homework in front of him but his mind screamed the next question.

"Ah why? I mean you're you " he said it as if being a Janice Hughes at his school was something beyond mortal man, and to Tom that actually was true....."why don't , you know the jocks or the rich guys ,I mean surely they like you " his eyes widened, fear hit him and his head came down his eyes now looking anywhere but at her "I mean I hear lots of guys talking about you and how much they like you, what if you have a boyfriend and don't know it"

And then his mind screamed 'idiot shut up'

OOC: I hope I wasn't holding anything up? My character's not going to interrupt at this juncture anyway.

I cringed slightly when I heard Tom's last comment. This young man needed some education, and fast, if he was to have any chance with Janice. Or any girl for the matter. But the devil inside me made me stay put, and to sit this one out for now. I wanted to hear what would come next. And the reason why my dear Janice hasn't got herself hooked up yet. Apart from the fact that I was unlikely to approve. I was always adamant about her not following in my footsteps.

She shrugged. "I don't have a boyfriend right now." she said again. She put down her pen as he made the ridiculous statement about her having a boyfriend and not knowing it. She knew there were a lot of guys that thought she was attractive - but she didn't date them all. She was a little bit picky. And they all knew that she wasn't like some of the cheerleaders, a few of whom seemed to have the goal of seducing the entire football team.

"You can't be dating someone and not know about it, it doesn't work that way. Dating is an agreement between people. Hooking up doesn't even mean dating... a lot of people hook up at parties - but even then they are not dating." she told him. She'd been to a few parties, not very many... but probably a lot more than Tom.

He wasn't so smooth with the social interaction. Today, however, he seemed much more awkward than she'd ever seen him. Normally he seemed somewhat comfortable around her. Not at all today.

Tom nodded , not really understanding what Janice had just said ....what was hooking up?

"S s sorry I shouldn't have asked a question so personal , I mean I guess I understand what you said about not knowing you had a boyfriend " his eyes downcast , he'd made a fool of himself and he didn't want to make a fool of himself again.

He really should have just stayed quiet, left the house ,run from the house ,anything except what he did next.

For after a few moments his mouth opened and words came out.

"I've never had a girlfriend how do you know when they like you enough to have a dating agreement?"

Then his brain caught up with his mouth and all it could do now was widen his eyes in shock at the utter stupitiy of what his mouth had just said.

Mrs Hughes

I had to stifle a chuckle. It reminded me of my own college going days. But nothing quite as interesting as this. I listened on.

Still looking for someone to play Janice if someone wants to play the character please read the first post and the last few ic posts to get a fell for the characters.

If we don't get someone soon I can engineer getting my character away from Janice...not ideal but do-able.

Janice questions

She shrugged once more. It was not an easy question to answer, and normally she would have blown off something like this. But she looked up and saw his earnest eyes. She couldn't possibly say no to him.

"It depends, not all girls are the same," she began, not really having an end in mind. "But if you were to ask me, for example," she paused momentarily, not realising how much of an effect this silence would have on Tom. "I will only agree to date someone whom I can really connect with, and not just someone looking to get in my pants." Her mind ran through the list of boys she knew in school.

She stopped long enough to glance at Tom once more, and was a little surprised to see him expecting her to continue. Was there anything more she could say?

"What I meant is, someone whom I can talk to comfortably, with a slight fluttering of my heart at times, but not so much that I can't be myself around him." She paused again, and then added, "may someone like you, Tom."

"For example." She finally stopped.
