Making movies on your webcam...

I'm not asking to have them sent to me, BUT, I would like to know from those who'll admit to making "naughty" webcam movies, what software you use to compress and make them into .mpg's?

I've got a few video capture cards in some of my mini-towers here, but on my laptop, which is an older 233 and NO usb, I have to use an older parallel color quick cam. The quality is great and everything, but it only makes .bmp's for the photo's, and .avi's for the movies. My Sony Digicam also will make .mpg's but I can't make a naughty movie and keep the button on the cam pressed at the same time.

Again all I want to know is without spending outrages amounts of money, or none at all, what programs do you use to make your .mpg's's, IF you have to convert them.

and thanks about videowave, but ti's still like $100 US, and that's too much to convert a only few files.

Todd, thanks but they don't have just waht I'm looking for, they ave to vcd format whcih is different than regular MPG, also have the opposite of what I'm looking for, but not the mpg encoder FROM avi.
