That may be true some of the time. There are a lot of Youtubers making bank on just being outraged over whatever they figure a lot of other people are. Rant on about Captain Marvel and the incels will link to your videos from all over social media.

There are seriously channels built on this kind of shit and on telling lies that are what people want to believe.

Hey all, just a reminder that when you see a low-effort post like this from a new account, it's quite likely that it's a SEO spammer who's planning to go back and edit in a spam link a few days later. I hate to say this but you are full of crap.

I have what would be considered a small channel 1700 subs, where I post how to videos in the metal fabrication and woodworking genres and pull a few hundred a month. Not much to be sure but over time it adds up, more than enough to cover my camera and editing costs.
