Making Marks

Yeah, I didn't want to go that route. Pills are rarely a good idea and I don't want to permanently damage my body or have difficulties with clotting especially given any high impact play. It seems very important that the clotting cascade be working properly in this lifestyle. Hemhorrage would be very very bad.

As an aside I'm kinda grumpy at my body. Found a bruise on my knee and I don't know what it's from. Probably just bumped into something innocuous. Go figure. I get tied, flogged, bitten, spanked, hot wax dripped on me, scratched, cropped and whacked with a cane and nothing. Then a week later a nice penny-sized purple mark pops up and I have no clue where it came from grrrr. Guess I'll just have to tell the next person to bite my ankles *giggling* or crop my knee caps lol. I could probably also take a cold bath in a tub full of ice cubes before play. Or maybe afterwards. That would probably bring them out too...

Just remember that cold reduces swelling and blood flow. Not what you are looking for if you want marks. A warm bath would be better.

Aspirin has been a safe over the counter pain medicine for 40 plus years, it is very safe and does cause slight thinning of the blood but is very safe in low doses and does cause some increase in bleeding which leads to more marking which is what she wanted.

Wow Homburg, I have that very cane and I can tell you that Sprinkles really hates it. :) But I agree, that cane can really do it. The thing is I rarely use it
because it is severe.

I like another delrin cane that has 6 thin shafts and when you pull them back and really let them go, they sting like crazy and will leave some good marks. Impact speed has an effect so they will leave marks. I like this one since it is versatile (1 shaft, 3, 5, all give different effects and she doesn't know what it is going to feel like .

Thank you, Sir.

However, I agree with FF, as you know, because I LOVE my marks. But just like her, I too sometimes don't bruise even after hard impact play ..... yet, I'll have a baseball sized bruise on my calf or thigh if Pippin or Charlie step on me. Go figure, I go home with marks .... from the dogs.

No medication is "safe". Aspirin, even at recommended OTC dosages can interact with prescription medicine that you may not know about, that she may not know about. Even at the "safe" dosages, it's an acid, it can irritate the lining of the stomach. Now, combined with its normal effect of preventing clotting, lets say you take some, and your stomach is already irritated and it irritates it more and your stomach lining starts to bleed... the body tries to stop but cant because of the anti-coagulant effect of the aspirin.

Plus, unless you're her doctor, you dont know what other medication or conditions she has where aspirin, even in low doses might be contraindicated.

I've seen those multi-shaft jobbies. Looked kinda neat. I may have to grab one.

And I bought that delrin cane on the suggestion of your gal. viv will probably start hating on her now that this news is out.

Thank you both for the suggestions and information. While I do not injest any other medications beyond ibuprofen ocassionally for cramps I tend to dislike the thought of taking aspirin. It makes sense as far as bruising goes, but I've seen one too many people hemhorrhage on an operating table and have fluids and blood products pushed because the dr didn't know in advance how much aspirin they were taking. It can be great for people with heart conditions but I have relatively low bp so I'd like to leave my blood and it's biological functioning alone if possible.

I agree that aspirin can be a great thing. Many patients (especially with cardiac/blood conditions/HTN) are encouraged to take it to prevent MI, stroke and clotting abnormalities. I would caution tho against blanket statements that it's safe. As I've said I've seen how unsafe it can be in an operating room. I'll probably see over time what works for me. That might be using a harsher implement, requesting actual marker/pen marks on my skin or finding places it is possible to bruise me, even if it is somewhere inane like the back of my knee lol.

I really like hearing too how people view marks, both those that give them and those that receive them. For me the reminder is what I cherish. I like looking at my body and seeing visible signs that I experienced something tough enough to leave proof. With the marks I have had that were un-bdsm related I really enjoyed thinking back to how I got them. And I'll look forward to earning other marks in various ways over the years to come and definately about how I got them  I know I am capable of bruising. It's just a tricky proposition that so far has involved accidents of large magnitute and some long drops, generally directly onto/into unrelenting rock.

Homburg (or anyone who knows)...by lateral contusion did you mean creating stretch marks? Mircrotears in the skin? Can that be done with zippers? Individual closepins? Is the only way to make them with pliers? Cuz pliers sound a little...electrical if you will...bring up thoughts of home depot and all those miles of fence I strung as a kid. I just have a hard time seeing how one could use pliers without doing serious irreparable damage  or is that what you're after? Do lateral contusions heal?

If the pain is not enough to make you cry, you don't deserve a bruise.
Theres a various kinds of pain and tears. I might be in love with some of those.

Sometimes 'cry' is oh so easy. And sometimes you want and just cant no matter what. I do adore a person who 'know' how to make me want things, need things. How to make me cry and love every second of it. It doesnt always need any pain included, you just have to KNOW the person.

As for the marks that stays, i know several of those. The physical ones just needs a firm hand, but i dont really think you wanna be marked THAT bad now, do you?

You can ask someone to hit you, spank you, whipe you properly, but it will always dissapear in few days. Thats why i think one needs a owner, so it can be done over and over again!! ;)

Sure, I'm not really sure of the proper term for what I'm talking about. The marks are caused when sections of skin are wrenched laterally, causing purple and red bruises and microtears. It is a different sort of mark from a regular because of the type of damage. I would imagine that you have seen these rock-climbing, as it combines an impact with a rub. Crap, language is breaking down, and I don't know how to describe it better.

Ok, what is wrong with Home Depot? my spreader bars came from there along with a number of other things....LOL:D

Well the home depot has recently become a new haven of possibility ;) but as a youngster *grins* I didn't see the wonderful world of bdsm in every isle. Gimme time and I'll make the transition lol and no doubt start to see everything in a kinky light. I'm getting there...but I think for the time being I'll leave the fencing pliers in their bucket. I mean, if I start imagining the possibilities I might end up with unexplainable contusions  Now what's this about a black cane *runs* ... *hides* :D

Home Depot is affectionately referred to as Kink Depot round these parts.

Actually it is TWO black canes. One is a single shaft and the other has 6 thin shafts (kind of like a really solid flogger). Now which one would you like to try first?

Well, since I was asking for marks lets go with whichever will leave a pretty bruise behind :D And if they are both effective at such endeavors I pick the floggery one first. Then the bity mean one that leaves stripes...got to build up the intensity yanno

The regular black canes leaves some bloody serious marks. viv rarely marks up for long, and the black cane left some truly staggering marks. Vicious, plain and simple.

Girl, if you can handle the thick, single cane then you are beyond being a pain slut ... you're a complete pain whore!!!!:eek::eek:

And can we have a big round of "AMEN" for Bro. Homburg???

And can we have a big round of "AMEN" for Bro. Homburg???

That thing is nasty. Interestingly, it has become a unit of pain measure for viv. I was whacking her with a particular object (a Mickey Mouse back scratcher that my eldest daughter bought me on her recent trip to Disney, it is heavy plastic, and is Mickey sitting on donald sitting on Goofy. It's impressive) and she started yelping and movi9ng her ass around, then started hollering "Black cane! Black cane!".

So now I know that the black cane is now the toy against which all others are measured. And I also know that Mickey hurts like a motherfucker
