Okay as you all know I work 12 hour shifts. I get up at 0500 so I can be in work at 0700. This means I eat both Breakfast and Lunch in work. I refuse to buy either meal in the cafeteria because of the prices.

My breakfasts are something i picked up a long time ago and enjoy.

1 pound bacon cut small
1/4 pound Anduille Sausage skinned and crumbled
2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
1/4 bottle Tobascoe Sauce
12 Eggs

Cook bacon until crisp, drain and set to the side.
Cook Sausage until done, drain.

Mix together the Bacon and Sausage.

While Bacon and Sausage are cooking crack all 12 eggs into large bowl. Add Garlic and Tobascoe. Beat well.

Pour Eggs over the Bacon and Sausage in the skillet and cook until done.

Split the mix into four equal portions and place into microwavable containers. Top with a handfull of grated cheese then freeze.

Each serving is enough for a breakfast and is easily heated within five minutes. It also only costs about $.75 a serving.

Lunches vary depending on how I'm feeling and what I have laying around for leftovers.

Sounds delicious, my arteries are screaming for mercy from reading it.

Crockpot oatmeal, with chopped apples, pecans, and brown sugar is delicious, too.

Sounds good to me! If you want cheap lunch, just cook up 3/4 cup of of rice with chili powder, turmeric, cumin, garlic, cayenne to taste, frozen corn, a squirt of ketchup, and a can of black beans. Double, triple, quadruple the recipe as needed. Then store in the fridge. That makes a very healthy and cheap lunch that takes only a minute to heat in the microwave at work. Very nutritious, high-fiber, complete protein.

Take a large chunk of Beef Shoulder Steak. Stick this in the freezer for an hour or until very stiff. Thin slice this, (we're talking make the slices as thin as thin sliced Roast Beef.) Then cut the slices into one inch pieces.

In a blender place Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Several minced Garlic Cloves, A minced Onion, Soy Sauce and Little Bird Peppers. Blend until smooth.

Place meat in a bowl, pour mix from blender over the meat and mix so all of the meat is covered. Cover and place in fridge for at least three hours. (I marinate it for a day.)

Dump the entire mess into a hot Fry Pan and cook until the meat is done.

While cooking the meat cook up either a cup or so of rice or a bax of cheap noodles. (If the noodles drain and wash.) Mix the meat and juices with the rice or noodles. Seperate into servings and freeze.

I also make a lot of Rice and Beans.

Other cheap and easy dishes I like to make.

Left over noodles are mixed with a couple of well beaten eggs, Garlic and some peppers then fried.

Left over Mashed Potatoes are mixed with some melted butter and garlic powder then fried.

Pan fry some hamburger with Hot Peppers. Drain and set to the side. Bring two cups of water to a boil. Add a package of Ramen Noodle soup along with the seasoning packet, 1 cup Frozen Corn and 1 cup frozen Peas. Cook until noodles are done. Drain off water. Add meat, mix and serve.

Pan fry some Hamburger, (1 pound) with Garlic, Onions Soy Sauce and Hot Peppers. Drain and set to the side. Cook half a box of Elbow Macaroni. Drain and rinse. Mix with meat in a caserol dish along with half a package of grated cheese. Top with the other half of the package of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese is starting to turn brown.

If you happen to have a smoker, as I do here is another good one.

Watch for a sale on beef roasts. Get the largest, cheapest lean beef roast you can get your hands on.

In a blender place a bit of Olive Oil, Orange Juice, Minced Garlic and crushed Chipotle Pepper. Blend until it is a thin liquid. Inject this into the roast. Rub the outside of the roast with a mix of grated onion, grated Garlic, Olive Oil and black pepper. Cover and let sit for 24 hours.

Prepare your smoker. Make sure your water pan is full and your wood is wet. Get it to the smoking stage and place the roast in there. Let it sit in there all day, and make sure the water pan always has water. Keep a meat thermometer stuck in the meat and when it is done take it out. Let it sit for at least ten minutes. Thin slice the meat. Unless you are the leader of a tribe you will have leftovers. The leftovers can be frozen and used for sandwiches or as starters for other meals.

Okay so you made a beef roast and only have a little of it left over. There are several ways you can use this. If it's a small amount freeze it and add it to your soup stock. (I have a large freezer bag just for this. Odds and ends of leftover meats are added and when I make stock the whole bag is dumped into the pot.) If it's a larger amount make ersatze open face sandwiches. If you don't have gravy go to the local grocery store and get a package of it for the whole $.30. Make the gracy then place this as well as the sliced meat in a fry pan. Heat it until hot. In a small glass melt a stick of butter. (I add some garlic to the butter, no surprise there.) Toast a couple of slices of bread and brush on the butter. Cover with meat then spoon some gravy over it. Tastes great.

That's one massive protein chunk to start the day on, Cat. Sounds tasty tho, but more suited for lunch, if you ask me.

Having my breakfast right now. Cheddar and lettuce on four pieces of Finnish rye, and the biggest mug of kenyan coffee this side on the Sargasso sea.

I live on Protein. The horrors of an overly fast metablosim. (Not to mention a very busy schedule in work.)

I also like the simple foods. Hot Dogs. Cover with Weiner Chili Sauce. Bottom the bun with Chili Sauce and Swiss Cheese. Place the dog in then cover with "Kraut". (Just keep the windows open afterwards.)

SPAM. I love SPAM. I grill it. I pan fry it. I use it as a base for soups.

Grill up some spam and top with a fried egg.

Toast some bread, grill or pan fry some spam. Place the spam on the toast and slather with Peach Jam.

Line Camp Bacon. Get a rasher of bacon. ( A solid chunk of bacon, usually a couple of pounds.) Cut one inches thick slices of this and cook over an open fire. (Make sure fire is not under flammable objects like tree branches.)

Line Cabin Beans.

Soak several cups of beans for a day. Drain and place in a pot. Add a chopped Onion, Several cloves Chopped Garlic. A handfull minced Peppers, a pound of grilled chopped beef and a bit of Bacon. Slow cook for a couple of hours. Serve with Bisquits or Flat Bread.

Camp Fish.

Catch several good sized fish. Start a fire and find some clay. Gut the fish and pack with Onion Grass, Garlic and some Peppers. Pack in clay. Toss the clay balls, (They look like skinny footballs) into the fire.

When the clay is baked hard pull from the fire and crack open. The clay pulls the skin away from the fish. Enjoy.
