Making an existing story more familiar

Just an informal survey but has anyone ever adjusted an existing story to include names familiar to them for their own enjoyment ?
I don't endorse reposting said stories without author consent or acknowledgement to the original posting but for one's personal library only. Admitedly, I have many reworked favorites in which persons I know or fantasize about appear in, for some reason celebrity fantasies don't work for me when the 'girl-next-door' is so much more exciting, besides, who really knows what thoughts spin in her head......

I never had the need to do that, but I know of many people who do. As long as you don't repost the story somewhere I don't see the harm.

Personally i find that idea disturbing, unless of course it was my gf i changed the name to.
No offence intended of course, however i find that idea immoral.

I, personally, would rather write a story about anyone that I'd do that to, but that's just cause I enjoy the creative-juice workout. It's a neat idea though, I may give it a work out.
