Obama and Romney are both terrible candidates. Neither will do anything to repeal the Patriot Act, FISA, or close Guantanamo.
However, Obama pisses off tons of people who are idiots, so I'm saying that's a pretty solid case for his re-election.

Sorry I didn't want to revive and old thread but wanted to add something to it. I don't know how it is in the rest of the country but in my state we appear to have two options reelect the same morons currently in or put the same morons back in that we voted out last time for doing nothing. In my opinion we need actual fresh blood be the dem or rep not the same clowns over and over again.
As for making a case for obama I can't I don't care for the man and will not vote for him the idea of another term for him worries me. Should his party take control of the house and senate as well I will be down right terrified as he will have no one to keep him in check.

Not so much a case for Obama...
but a case against Romney. Mitt and the Fundamentalist Christians who are financing the majority of his campaign would turn this nation into a Theocracy at the first opportunity. Also, the fact that a /large/ majority of Republican now backing Romney are the same who, until he became their best hope of winning, have held the opinion that the Mormon church is a cult and not "true" Christians. There are so many things going wrong in this country, but the social conservativism of the Republican Party is far more disdainful than the fiscal liberalism of the Democrats, in my mind. Republicans would gleefully legislate your bedroom, ban sites like Lit and tell you who and who you can't fuck.
I have my reservations and concerns about Obama, but when I weigh the pros and cons of each, as well as the underlying beliefs of each candidate, I simply cannot, in good conscience, vote for someone who would cheerfully look me in the eye and judge my life as "immoral".
Oh..and let's not forget....Mitt is simply biding his time on this Earth until he can become God of his own universe, with Mrs. Romney as Mrs. God. I wonder if the taxpayers will have to pay for his magic underwear if he's elected. Would the Secret Service get to see that secret?
