wow, you were just 30 miles away
I wish I had had more time; it could have been fun to catch up to any maine litsters in the area for a cup of coffee.

Maybe another time.

MWY- there were two litsters under the same roof that weekend too! LOL

Ohwell.....

Anyway, this Mainer (Mainiac) saw a robin for sure yesterday.. woohoo!!

When I left, snow still covered the ground and the lake was only beginning to show progress toward ice-out.

Two litsters under the same roof, eh? I hope it had a good foundation. ;)

Howdy MWY, my small pond still has thick ice on edges, and it totally refreezes each nite too. many robins here, mourning doves, hummingbirds too. snowplow piles still have snow, otherwise mud season is almost over. the deer wander thru, and an owl was here in broad daylight a few weeks ago.

maybe spring will actually get here soon and i will be able to shutdown the woodstove for the summer. lol, it is Maine though...

Exactly. Seems to me a fella ought to keep half a cord around just in case at this time of year. After all, the best breakfast in the world is hot oatmeal from a wood stove.

well i also have some downed trees from last summers work, a couple of chainsaws, a log splitter, and a tractor to move it all around with, so if the cool spring continues, i will go back into the firewood processing mode.

best breakfast is warm feet and hot chocolate while sitting in front of the warm side of the window. lol

oatmeal is good too, especially after plowing snow in the wee hours of the nite. (my tractor does not have a cab!!!!)

be well, shy

Well the inches thing..I'm a grown woman and I KNOW that it's not how much but how it's done ...I'm not looking forward to it either... means I am going to be trapped up North here..unless it's a dry winter. I hate being restrained....I can't put handcuffs on the weather tho..poo!
