Just a question for a buddy of mine at work.....He recently decided to embrace his disappearing head hair and start shaving his dome....well he is has been looking around for a depilitory(sp?) for his head since working in the heat and sweating here in the middle east is causing some hellacious razor burn.....well i figured hey I have heard alot of good things about magic shave on lit so someone would know there....so the question is magic shave safe enough for the dome.....if not is there another cream out there that helps.....he wants to save time and discomfort......thanks from the Bahrain.....L5P's

I wouldn't trust ANY chemical hair remover on my head.

I shave my head... And all I do is take an electric clippers to it once or twice a week... But, of course, I prefer the "five-o-clock-shadow" look to the "shiny" look...

Magic is actually a men's beard remover. A small test patch before doing his entire head is mandatory ~ it can cause burns.

According to Magic Shave's site FAQ page, it is indeed safe to use on on the scalp as well as on the face, but a patch test is mandatory. Special care should be taken to keep it out of the eyes as well.

Thanks everyone for your input....i will let him know so he can decide if he wants to try it....than he needs to find a place that sells it.....L5P's

Albertson's and Walgreens both sell the product. I use it occasionally on my ass, works great. The premixed cream form is, in my opinion, better then the powder form you mix yourself.

I shaved my head for years with a Gillette Sensor Excel razor. Never had razor burn, ever.

ok another question

Well this isn't about my dome but here goes.....It looks like I am gonna become part of the base's new bike patrol unit......one of the catches is i am going to have to denude my legs as part of the job......it helps abrasions heal faster and reduces chance of infection....now the only time i ever tried shaving my legs i was 5 and wound up with a gash almost ancle to knee on my shin....i dont think i will have a problem shaving my legs once my initial coat of hair is removed but what is the easiest way to remove about 16 years of growth....with out resorting to mind numbing pain.....remember i have a penis so my pain tolerance still has to work up to waxing......about 40 more years of work at that i think......thanks again for the imputs.....L5P's

Magic Shave will work.

A beard clipper or small trimmer sized clipper will remove the hair down to about equal to a "five-o'clock shadow."
