Okay, the point of the game is to add in whatever words you want, add onto the story and create more blank spots, or write your own madlib story and put it here for others to play with (I know this one isn't that good, It is 5 am and I am braindead :p)

There she was, the _______ girl he'd ever seen. Damn, he just wished that she'd give him a _______, anything to let him know she knew he existed. He'd been lifeguarding this beach for six weeks now, and she was there almost every day yet he still got a _______ every time she would bend over. He couldn't believe how _______ her ass was, and how _______ those breasts were, damn she was just _______.

Some of the girls were playing beach volleyball, from his stand he could see rather well but even better when he used his binoculars. A lot of hot women over there too, but none compared to that buxom red haired beauty. Still, he didn't mind watching... Suddenly a hand was on his _______ and he jerked the binoculars away and looked down right into her gorgeous green eyes and dazzling smile.

He couldn't believe just how loose her ass was, and how saggy those breasts were, damn she was just fugly.

"Hi, Mom" he said, his _____ standing to attention at the sight of ______ she was displaying for her son's _________.

"Hello".

His Mom still had the sultry voice that had seduced his father, whoever his father had been. She needed it for her career as a ______ pandering to ________ perverted tastes for ______.

The whole beach was looking at them. Did they know that Mom and son played ________ together every night? Did they care? Would they be jealous? Would they want to ______ and ______ the pair of them...?

Not to be a party pooper, but madlibs are only fun to play with if you don't know what the result will be!

You should take a couple of paragraphs from a story, remove some words, taking note of what type of words you're removing (nouns, verbs, adjectives) - all of this privately - and only then post asking people for those type of words.

Here's a thread where we have done it before: MAD Libs

Thats not what I was trying to do with the madlibs, I wanted an active story, with blank spots for people to fill in, and add onto the story, like oggbashan did. He did terrific actually.

No point having two Madlib threads that are the exact same.. I didn't know the other one existed, and this was going to be the topic of the day for Abs, but there was already a topic, so I just made it a thread. *shrug*

LOL Sorry.

How about if:

1. Author A writes the start of a story with blanks, in private, and posts the type of words needed to fill them in.

2. Author B posts the words

3. Author A posts the start of the story using the words Author B posted.

4. Author B continues the story that is posted with blanks, in private, and posts the type of words needed to fill them in.

5. Author C posts the words

6. Author B posts the start of the story using the words Author C posted.

...

And so on. ;)

Or not *shrugs*

Naw, for a madlib you are supposed to be able to see what you are filling in :) Thats part of the fun. So if you want to make it silly, you can.. Like Oggs made the guy's mom have her hand on his thigh :p

If you see what you're filling in, you're defeating the whole purpose of mad libs. lol.

Huh????

Perhaps madlibs have changed since I was a kid, but when they first became popular you would be asked to supply examples of different parts of speech (adjectives, possessive nouns, coordinating conjunctions and so forth) and only after blindly inserting these words in a story would you see the finished product.

Okay, what could you do for one when you were by yourself, prior to the internet?

I remember having books with stories and you filled in the blanks to make it whatever kind of story you felt like at the time.. The blanks would have what type of word it required in that blank.. like (adjective) or (noun).. Those would be under the blank, in small print.

Unfortunately, I can't do that in a simple post.

If you were doing the MadLibs by yourself, then you would be filling in the blanks of a story. The point of MadLibs, though, was to have one person filling in the words given by someone else who was only asked for specific types of words, as Lauren as done above.

I never played madlibs by myself. They were intended for one person to ask for the parts of speech and other people supply them, resulting in a nonsense story that nonetheless adheres to the rules of language. Therein lies the hilarity and entertainment value. I always associated them with summercamp and only played them in groups.

My brother had a madlib program on his TRS-80. This was more than a decade before the advent of the world wide web, although the arpanet had long since existed.

Here is an internet madlib generator from the original publishers of madlibs.

have you not already gotten the clue that I don't care?

I started a thread then had it rammed down my throat. Who cares if my adlibs were different? That was the name of my game. If you don't want to play it that way, that is YOUR choice. Don't post in here then. Simple as that.

After _______ the thread of Tolyk, the _______ of authenticity __________ the flesh off his ___________.

"Oh God, what __________ and __________ my creation hath wrought," he __________ into the night. __________, ____________, and ___________ he wept and no more would he try something _________ and fun.

So he instead became ________ Man, superhero extraordinaire and maker of fine __________.

I, for one, never meant to come across as ramming it down your throat, Tolyk. I apologize if I did. :rose:
