i bought a bag, i've been craving them for some reason. but i've noticed that while there are green and orange m&m's, in addition to the primary colors, there is no purple. no black or white, either. what does this mean?

It means Rae that things are not always what they seem. It means that reality lies betwixt intent, and not the other way around.

I want some candy now too.

Smarties have purple ones and pale blue. They don't include black in case you're sister adds poo from the guinea pig as a joke. I can't explain the lack of white ones.

Shall I send you some purple Smarties?

Smarties are good too. But Smarties are not M&Ms. Nope.

In the States, Smarties are what Canadians call Rockets.

Those colors are only in specialty bags for holidays.

You can get them in just about any color. The M&M store has a whole wall of different colored ones.
For an extra buck you can get ones with W's instead.
