There's a wordpress blog called lzerotica cloning loads of content from here, it's been up for months, it's got my series stories on it copied into one, wtf!

Hey, and they didn't even pay me! (Mind you, Literotica doesn't pay me either. :) )

It's up to date too. It already has my Lit. story posting today.

Hey, wasn't aware of that one. My latest story, my Summer Lovin entry, was published on Lit on Aug. 28, and apparently cloned to this other site the same day. It was cloned in its entirety, with my Author's preface stating "this is my Literotica Summer Lovin' 2021 entry". So, hey advertising.

Given that I posted on a free site, and it's replicated to a free site, with my penname and a reference back to Literotica, I'm hard pressed to get excited. I don't know if they've picked and chosen so not sure if my older stories are there.

IF someone is trying to package and sell - for cash - my stuff, that's one thing. Here? Per all of the copyright discussions, what recourse? I guess I could try a DMCA. But, I posted here - for no payment nor expectation of payment - and so what are my 'damages'? Again, they're keeping the reference to Literotica and my penname. All I can claim is I posted here for 'exposure,' and what is this second giving me? More exposure...

Everyone seems very chilled about it, has this happened before??

There is only one way to never have your stories lifted....never put them up for free on a site like this.

Otherwise, get used to being an item on the shelf of a big erotic story grocery store for pirates.

They've been ripping off Lit stories since February. I've put up five complete stories since then, but I don't see any of mine there. I think I'm insulted.

The only thing I'd ask is that they credit the original author. Maybe they should acknowledge Literotica as well.

The only story of mine they've copied was done so verbatim. It includes my author's name and the mention of Lit. Some random sampling shows the same thing, if the story had one, the other author's prefaces mention Literotica posting.

Not perfect, mostly it's "Collector" and "Carlo" listed.

But I've only found the one story of mine, they seemed to have skipped May and June, when I released two stories.

Looks like they're taking the daily update, and then going through the archives and lifting things page by page as well. Today was Ws from Trans&Crossdressers.

At least they're not butchering the formatting like most of these do. They're not crediting authors, which is usually an indication that it will eventually become an ad and malware-laden hellscape, or fade away because it didn't attract enough attention to make that effort worth it. Lifting whole daily updates and page-by-page is another indication.

The less scummy ones curate the site with stories they enjoy, and link back to the originals.

Most of these don't last long. They never really get off the ground because the only people who find them are authors searching for plagiarism. They never make a blip on Google, or they blip so hard that they get blackballed for blackhat SEO or malware. Eventually, the cost of maintaining them is more than it's worth, and they fade away.

What I like is there are two illustrated stories but without the illustration.

And it only has things from Feb. 2021. It also looks like a bot scraped all of them as there seems to be the first page only, none of the pieces I looked at had a page 2.

And would seem they don't like me either. :(

Huh. First time I've done that...

Only two sites from what I saw, one was pretty much all of my stories from when I posted on Reddit, the other was one I put up here recently.

And if you do mine you get all the books that Ty Patterson wrote about his super spy Zeb Carter.

Google your pen name. You will find your stories all over the web from Russia to Japan and beyond. Tons of sites.

That didn't work very well; too many locations near the real Gun Hill Road stations. There is an except from one of my essays on moviechat.org. Maybe that's all there is at the moment. Anyway, lifting stories: "Them's the conditions that prevail." It's probably impossible to stop it.

P.S.: You can also try to go in with the story title. So far I've only found the ones on here. Google will also usually make a hash of it by presenting similar sounding entries, like with the Gun Hill Road issue mentioned above.

If you wonder about a specific story, then you can Google a unique line from the story.

I found one of my stories, by searching my name and lzerotica, my name as author was removed but my the copywrite with my name was left in place. I'll have to check the other stories I guess. I'm not exactly upset, other than. as far as I can tell, you can't remove your stories from the site. I don't like my penname not appearing, either. While it is published for free, I still want credit on own work.

For the most part, I manage to prevent my stories being stolen by avoiding becoming popular.

That's like, totally unbelievable, you're oh, so popular!

I’m flattered that you think so, but after four years and 58 published works, I’ve got 381 followers.

I’m not whining about it, though, I don’t write fap fodder and I have little interest in most of the popular categories. That’s my choice. I am very grateful that many of our fellow authors follow me. I really appreciate that affirmation.

I did find one that way on the Medium writing site, but when I went there the entry said, "Error 410: This account is under investigation or was found in violation of the Medium Rules."

Who know how many entries this person had or what was in them? The rules there allow erotic content, which my story had, but nothing extreme.

I may even join the site myself.

I like that term, "fap fodder." Fodder, of course literally means, "food, especially dried hay or feed, for cattle and other livestock." Sounds about right.
