for you MFM

hope you'll like it

Wild Wind and the red-tailed Hawk Spirit

As MFM sat on the mountain top resort
watching the majestic sunset,
vivid colors of pinks, golds, yellows
against the blue sky,
and the lush green of the spruce trees.
.
He hears the wind whispering
Come ride the wild wind with me,
across vast forests of spruce and pine
amongst the snow-tipped mountains
with your Red-Tailed Hawk spirit
.
He spotted a lone figure floating upon the
currents of air under its wings
Noticing it was a Red-Tailed Hawk
he feels as if the bird was pulling him to it.
.
Listening closely MFM hears, Come with me,
to wild virgin rivers that tumble through granite gorges,
sending a rainbow mist thundering majestically into the sky
.
MFM was mesmerized by the hawk
feeling as if he were there in the sky
In the silver Moonlight,
he sails, soaring higher, his wings whispering,
.
Let’s ride the wild winds, and stir the wild-flowers,
in luxurious green meadows, where elk stand bold
against ruby sunsets, breath deeply of fragrant spring,
and bask in the warmth of summer
deep within the wilderness.
.
.
Come, and fly , spirit Hawk, the wind whispers
to meadows and majestic mountains
mantled in soft blankets, of gentle snow
Come ride the wild wind with me.
.
The Red-Tailed Hawk flies into the evening sky,
leaving behind the body of the man.
I am the spirit of the Red-Tailed Hawk !
he Cries

My Dear Bear:

Thank you for the lead crystal vase of roses. Such fragrance! They are lovely. Thank you for the kind thoughts and your hopes that my weeksend be filled with love, friends and joy. I hope the same for you as well.

Sincerely,
V

*Gently tucks the kiss among the flowers in the vase and places the note at Bear's writing desk, propped between his lamp and his copy of Hiawatha and places a :rose: across the open pages*

Bear....

Your words had special meaning
just the thought that you showed you cared
surprised me without warning
and I'm was so happy that you shared,
a moment of your time,
a moment of your day,
thank you very much
of thinking of me some way
It meant more then you know
and I appreciate it so
The day was tough and hard
but your hello was like a song
So these words I send to you
upon a lit. filled screen
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
and I hope you will agree
that words mean just as much
when their simple or there slurred
your hello was kind and welcomed
and I will keep it close in my mind
and keep it tucked inside me
for another time.

Thanks

A wondrous friendship I have found
Upon the lighthouse’s sacred ground
A friend , A love , for life, for eternity
whose soul is a touch above

Rescued from life's mediocrities
Pulled in from the seas of indifference
By a wonderful and special lady
Whose caring and kindness knows no bounds

She has touched lightly my heart
And our friendship must never part,
For when you look into her wonderful blue eyes
You don’t ever want to say good-bye

Take my hand in yours and walk with me
Strolling along sandy beach we are set free,
Unconditional our friendship must be
Or our heart and soul and love will fade

   Thanks.... I was filling a bit bummed this evening.... off and on... I'm good now.. thanks for the kisses, and hugs.. and the flower :)

RHF...

I'm so sorry to hear you were feeling a bit bummed the other evening, even for a little while off and on. I am, however, equally glad to know you were good later.

I read the poems in your group of five and each one managed to bring my parents, both gone now, to mind. How they met, lived, loved, how my mother felt when her husband of 48 years lay in a coma after brain surgery and subsequently died, never having regained consciousness. The last one in your grouping touched me far deeper than I think any of the others did.

***Addendum****

It brought back the memories and feelings I had/have, both resolved and unresolved, of the last days with my mother, who passed just over a year ago. She kept wanting to go... kept asking me whY God was keeping her alive. This led to a small row between us... and, borne out of desperation, I told her then if she wanted to stop taking her meds, I'd stop giving them to her. She was on three different meds for her heart alone... she had Emphazema, and COPD and Congestive Heart Failure, causing a continuous bout with "Atricular Fibralation"... commonly referred to as "A flutter"; two inhalers, Lasix, Amitriptalene... and a whole slew of other meds... totalling between 9 and 12 a day.

I know she was tired of her "existance"... she couldn't walk without her walker, she couldn't garden, she couldn't knit any longer... and worst of all, she could no longer drive because of the heart meds. I was her 24/7/365 caregiver, and I watched her slipping away, daily, and was helpless to "do" anything. I thought she was going to tell me to quit giving her her meds, I really did. But she didn't. She was a trooper... and she kept on troopin' on.

But when her hip fractured, causing her to fall in the driveway coming home one night after dinner, when she fell she hit her head on the drivepad... thus causing an Intercranial Bleed just under the surface of the skull, but did NO damage to the brain... thankfully.

When she was released from hospital, a week and a half after her fall, I felt then that her time was limited... little did I know just how limited it would be. My son came home that Thursday 3 June 2004 for a surprise visit. Little did he know, that visit would be his last with her. She passed away that Sunday 6 June 2004 at 4:00a.m.... in her sleep... peacefully... the way she wanted.

****End of Addendum****

Thank you for the set of five. They are beautiful, lovely, filled with touching moments, and filled with love. One can see the frail hand and almost feel it in their grasp... and one can sense the feeling of overwhelming sadness that comes from watching a loved one suffering, wanting to go... and yet held by bounds not of their makings... and the relief as they are finally let go. For they are now free of suffering and wanting to go.

They all, as I said, touched me deeply.... Well Done, my dear... well done.

Victoria,

Thank you for those kind words. I sat here the other morning and the first one came to me, I read it to my daughter, who is 10 was home sick so I read it to her (hubby doesn't like my poetry.. anywho... ) she loved it, so I was glad to share it with someone, and more then glad to discover more of them hidden in me.

Each one came to me one right after the other, and when it was just amazining to me how that happened. I'm very glad they found a place in your heart for you to take and keep hold of.

Your words meant a lot,

Red. :rose:

Good Afternoon to all and I hope that everyone has a beautiful day

BB8, MFM, RHF ~

Please forgive me for being so far behind in my comments once again. :( I just don't have enough hours in a day anymore... and I can't find a way to make it all even out so I can find a point in time, without it being 2am, when I can comment on all the works you post. Even during the day, when the clock gets near 2pm... I'm falling asleep in my chair here at my computer... and can't keep my eyelids open enough to post, as I keep falling asleep in mid-post.

BB8:Your works are all lovely... heart-felt, conveying a spirit touched by the haunting eerieness of the Native American tribes of the Northlands... or the Plains.

MFM:I want to be able to give you fresh comments... not the same old words... recycled.

RHF:I was able to make my comments to you without drifting off. YAY! :D

To all three of you:But lately, I've noticed that I'm having trouble with my words. They aren't coming out how I mean them, or I forget them almost as soon as I think of them. *sighs*

Dayum, I hate getting old! I'm too young to be having these problems.

Once again... I beg your forgiveness, and ask your indulgence. I'm beginning to understand how/why my mother felt as she did in the last few months, as they dwindled into the last few weeks, of her life.

The Morning Air
,
The meadow lies tranquil,
As the mist rises, dawn quietly approaches,
on the distant mountains peeks,
The forest is still shadowed,
in the obscurity of night,
.
As the Eastern sky gently awakens
The reflections of the unseen
morning sun’s rays
Paints the clouds with
Red, pink, purple, and gold
.
He’s standing behind her,
Wrapping his arms around her
In a tender embrace of love,
As they watch the majestic sunrise,
A soft gentle breeze stirs,
and all is quiet and peaceful
In the Meadow.

good morning all  :rose:

One Man's Dream
.
I awaken... and slowly, gently,
consciousness slipping in...
and, I’m thinking,
as I rest alone in my bed.
.
Alone, in an empty echoing apartment.
My mind haunted with memories
Of things that never were, or might never could be...
.
Alone... in the empty echoing apartment
My life full of broken dreams, and desires
Years of work and struggles,
Are all now naught but broken heartaches
.
I lay wondering, dreaming one mans dream
.
Will there ever be “The One” who’ll stand beside me,
Her hand, squeezing mine?
Will there ever be “The One”, who’ll never leave?
.
Will I ever awaken, and look
deep into Her blue eyes as she awakens,
and see the Love, Compassion, Acceptance,
That flows deep and unending between our hearts?
.
I lay there, dreaming “One Mans Dream”.
.
Will there ever be a time,
When no words need be spoken;
yet clearly knowing more,
Than if bellowed from the snow-capped mountain !
.
As I reach for Her, and Her for me,
then embracing each other tenderly
feeling our hearts beating as one,
And our soul’s unite.

This is “One Mans Dream, the is “My dream”

Twilight Smiles
.
The Night settles in quietly, gently, surrounding,
The tired earth into tranquil cover of darkness,
replacing the hustle, and bustle of day,
Leaving quiet and solitude in it’s place.
.
Setting back, softly playing an aria for those awake,
crickets and bullfrogs join the nightingale,
In a pine-scented melody to serenade,
the twilight night and universe,
.
A golden harvest moon hangs in the black sky
casting an alabaster glow to expose the Doe and her fawn,
scurrying through the lush green meadow...
.
Shooting stars brighten the dawning sky
and the night smiles,
all is tranquil and quiet...

I feel so empty
so alone and blue
being seen by others,
but not being seen by you.

The words I pen for stories
and poems that I share,
only gather dust
when they fall upon your ears.

The routine of our life
is really hard to bare,
as each and everyday,
my pain it starts to ware.

Many say just walk away,
but they don't see my heart,
for though you have stopped caring
I wouldn't even know how to start.

Love from you seems lost to me,
and that I think, is what
hurts the most inside me
because I still love you lots.

My jaw it clinches tight
as once more you say goodnight,
and leave me here alone
to face this lonely sight...

Of an empty home,
a heart that beats so strong
only wanting to touch you
and try to bring yours along.

This hurts so bad this evening,
I can hardly breath,
as the tears fall from my eyes
that you refuse to see.

I no longer wish to hurt
or cry these tears of woe.
I only wish you'd realize
your missing what craves your very soul.

such a sad and beautifully writtem poem Red hugss  :rose:

Words are trying to rush out of me
but they are getting cluttered.
My fingers rest and try to speak
the things that can't be muttered.

Shaking my head I wonder
what more that I must do.
I've tried so hard to be so strong
and keep a hold of you.

Perhaps that is my problem,
I'm to weak from fight.
Trying to keep us together,
because that is supposed to be what's right.

Stories, you don't care for.
The language offends your mind.
Poems you say are silly,
and just a waste of your time.

Others see me for the words I write.
While you chose to ignore,
not really even wanting
to hear from me much more.

Bringing cheer and laughter
is all I've tried to do.
With each smile I give
a frown comes over you.

No one outside would guess
that this is how we live
I've kept it safely hidden
very deep within.

Poem...

Friday I did it for the first time
anal sex.. oh it was so fine
the tool he used a camera and scope
my doctor jammed it up and I think he broke
something deep inside me
for the pain medicine you see
didn't work real great
and I'm still in great pain
pain enough for three!!!

Saturday was pleasant
I spent some money.. yay!
The children and I went to
the movies on this day.
Afterwards we walked and walked
from shop to shop to shop
and spent the ass hole's money
because he makes alot.

Sunday was depressing
and it isn't over yet
for I still hurt from Friday's events
that didn't make me wet.
