He held my hand
I thought of you
He touched my face
I thought of you
He kissed my cheek
I thought of you
He stroked my breast
I thought of you
He caressed my arm
I thought of you
He pressed against me
I thought of you
He loved me slowly
I loved only you.

see what happens... it will end.. poems only come in spurts for me.. the last spurt was when I was 12 I think.. lol...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The battle had started
It left her broken hearted.
Not knowing what to do
She walked right up to you.
Upon her arm you saw it
numbers on her writ.
Her life you claim and take
No more a sound she'd make.
I sit here and I wonder
when my life is done
will you sit and ponder
all the pain from this one?
I didn't mean to cause it.
To bring you grief and strife
and our hearts now split
by a sharp bladed knife.
I hope you know I'm sorry,
as I turn to go
my brown eyes a bit starry
Your whispered love I'll know.
you're alot better than you give yourself credit for... this speaks from the heart :rose:
I'm tired of the fighting
I'm tired of the pain
I'm tired of the heartache
and the way you say my name.
I'm tired of the words
I'm tired of the slaps
I'm tired of the way
you walk upon my back.
I'm tired of the sleepless nights
I'm tired of the tears
I'm tired of the sorrow
and your ugly sneers.
I'm tired of the anger
I'm tired of the fear
I'm tired of the bruises
you give me when I'm here.
I'm no longer tired
I no longer fear
I'm no longer crying
'cause your no longer here.
ahh reminiscent of my first husband.... ;)
Today I got bad news
so I thought I'd share with you.
It seems the seed is spreading
the sickness will consume.
Now I sit and wonder
if my time has come.
While words of rhyme and reason
rise from me like the sun.
Each thought I have is spoken
upon this page I write.
My only hope for you
is that tonight will be the night.
The soul I have is lifting
breaking free of me.
The light upon me shining
begging to be seen.
One Extreme to the Other
If you were here
would you keep me near?
If I asked you please
would you kneel in front of me?
If I used my tongue
would you probably cum?
If I saw you nude
would you become unglued?
If I rode on top
would you holler please don't stop?
If I held your hand
would you love me in the sand?
If I said your name
would you do the same?
If I begged you please
would you love with ease?
If I had to leave
would you follow me?
If I wrote a story
would you want all the glory?
If I sang for you
would you love me too?
If I go away
would you think of me today?
If I touch your cheek
would you love me deep?
If I spark your life
would you make me your wife?
If I see the sun
would you be my only one?
Shadows in the night
Whispers in the dark
Late night phone calls
Morning walks in the park.
Sunday morning coffee
Monday morning tea
Wednesday evening card games
All week long with me.
When the curtain closes
and our time is done
remember this my sweetheart
You are my only one.
There I was
A candle in the dark
Unbent, untouched
Pure and proud
And then you came
Warmth enveloped me
You lighted me
And I began to see
The world
Where I truly belonged
I saw the beauty
of Everything
Savoring every moment
But when I turned around
You were nowhere
To be found.
I searched with my light
But I couldn't see you.
Then the heat began to burn me
With a pain so intense
To my very core.
Wax flowed all over,
Remaining there to be seen
By all.
Then a gush of wind
So bitingly cold
Made my flame dance
And it seemed that
The wind blew you away
Another strong blow
Finally put out the light
A wisp of smoke
From my blackened wick
Curled up above me,
And was gone.
As I look at myself
The once proud candle
Now just a stump
With a blackened core
But I couldn't care more.
Because for a moment in my life,
I became a light in the dark.
MFM
A candle in the window burns
In the dark of night
giving off bright light.
Its flame soon dances as
a bitter cold wind will blow
Covering all outside in a blanket of snow.
The wind blows colder
And snuffs out the flame
Gone in the night
Love took flight.
Do you mind if I think this piece should be dedicated to all the survivors of Domestic Abuse/Violence? This speaks for every woman who has EVER experienced it... and God knows there are many. It speaks for the many who don't possess the courage to get up and walk out... it speaks for the many who can't/won't fight back... and... sadly... it speaks for those who have become a statistic... and can speak no longer.
Thank you for this piece RHF... may it be a soothing balm to those whose spirits and bodies have been battered. :rose: x 11
My dear... you are always welcomed here. And while I have not yet read all the works that grace our walls, I will read, and comment, over the remainder of this week. Please bear with me. The heat and humidity here sap my strength and I can only stand to be in this airless bedroom for a few hours at a time... without getting sleepy.... or feel as if I am dripping wet along my hairline.
I am so glad your sisters were able to stand tall, and could walk... away from the Abuse/Violence... and are alive to talk about it and perhaps help others to find the strength to leave. I have survived it... and finding that strength to walk is a very difficult thing to do. Be their champion... not that you aren't.
