LOL..Thank you..for you sweet comment..but I do have many scraps of paper with unfinished works on them...just waiting to be finished..ahhh! someday they will find their ending..Though I can say very few ever make to the filed 13....but as always it takes the love of a lady to fill the scribe with the words of romance that find their way to a pen's delibrate movement up the parchment to show his passions for her.

Oh Lusty love I only write what I feel to be the truth as sappy as it may sound. I look forward to many more works posted. I need to get my lazy keister back in the writing mood myself. Just too many distractions at the moment to keep pen and paper in hand. Perhaps some inspiration is in order. Do YOU know anyone who would volunteer for such a service? ;)

Love...
How do I love you...
let me count the ways...

I love you for that I am...
I love you for that I will be...
I love you for who you are...
I love you for who you will be...

I love you for that is changed...
I love you for that is the same...
I love you for the memories of the past, present, and future...
I love you for you....

I love you with no reason, but full of heart and soul...

I love you...
Because I do...

As a rule to myself I normally would never put a copyed poem in the corner, but this poem I learned in the 4th grade and it has hung with me ever since and tomorrow is Veterns Day and how fitting a poem it is on this day.

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army
IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A fact, this poem was very nearly not published. Dissatisfied with it, McCrae tossed the poem away, but a fellow officer retrieved it and sent it to newspapers in England. The Spectator, in London, rejected it, but Punch published it on 8 December 1915.

GONE!!! as of 11/12/06

Due to maybe tired of Lit..naw or maybe the bickering and deletion of posts do to in fighting when I wasn’t here for a bit, maybe a person who writes in the posts “ I was asked to remove this”, after they delete their posts and it was never asked by me. The uncertainty of a editor who say one thing and does another, maybe it was the post by some of there new works on Lit but not wanting to post here to inspire others who are new to writing…The idea of the thread from it inception was to provide a place, a safe haven for new writers to start and we have had a few start here..and they are very good writers and all they needed was that little spark to get them started…now for the Corner to exit it will be up to the Playground writers to keep it going and if it dies out and sink to the lsot threads of Lit..then I will know there are no writers here who have the capabilities to help out new and struggling writers..or they only care about themselves ..if you get pissed off by what I saying…then stop and asked yourself, am I capable and if I am why didn’t I do something to help..don’t get pissed at me..so laters everyone..maybe..
God knows I love ya all and be good to each other.

There is a dark hole inside me,
A cavernous void bereft of light,
An emptiness all consuming.

A muscle turned to stone,
Blood frozen as thick as ice,
A slow dull rhythm keeping pace.

A spirit gray and thin,
A darkness where a soul should be,
Shallow pools where once were eyes.

Then came you a light into the void,
A flame and fire to melt the ice and stone.
Your tempo cajoling mine into its rhythm.

Your kindness touched my spirit,
Healing a scarred and wounded soul.
Your love brought the light back into my eyes.

Your soul stretched across the barriers of time and space,
Echoing your heartfelt sentiments definitively.
Your tender heart saved my limp and lifeless one.

Your voice a soothing balm to the many wounds,
Your words a lift for the spirit,
The fact you love and care medicinal for a sick heart.

Just something I read and thought I would share.

Edible Gifts

One holiday, my husband and I picked out all our presents together, so we both knew what we were going to get. Out of money, and still wanting to surprise him, I thought of a gift that was perfect for him. I got an old baby food container and filled it half with honey and half with sugar. I then put a label on it that read, edible exfoliater. Then I ran a bath with candles, flowers and the works. He loved it! The honey and sugar mix is a great skin exfoliater for the bathtub, and it’s edible so it works in the bedroom too. If the taste is a little strong, add a dab of vanilla extract.

Your Love

As I watch the last star fade into the morning sky.
I remember that it watches over me though the night
from a distance as your love for me and mine for you.
When the new day sun brightens the sky I think of your
smile and how it brightens my day. So, my love, I have
you with me all the time even though you are not beside
me. The suns warmth reminds me of your warmth when
I in yourarms. when I feel the light breeze against my
lips, I think of your tender lips and I know I've been kissed
by your spirit.

A Bridge Crossed

I once crossed a bridge to find you on the
other side. Now, it's a bridge I'll never cross
back over since you entered my life.
I crossed a bridge of hurt and pain to sweet
love and a woman to hold and care for and who
loves me.
You brought me joy when things were sad.
You made me smile something I hadn't felt
in a long while. You fill each day with something
new and straight from the heart and that's just
like you, my sweet.
I will be yours for the rest of our lives. I'll treat
you every way that is right and love you everyday
and every night. I'll hold you close on those long
chilly nights. I shall support you in all your goals.
God, I am happy I crossed that bridge and you
entered my life
