Yes, this is what I do. Constantly. I don't know why... but I do know it's NOT a mother complex, so please... spare me.

It's exciting to me, I guess. I got a number from a woman last night that I have flirted around with for almost a year. I've always been attracted to her... I don't know what it is! She has a sexy voice, or something... ugh. Why can't I lust after someone at least CLOSE to my own age? I don't know. LOL I just find it highly amusing.

April's got about 5 years on me, so it's not too bad. My last partner had 9 years on me. I've always just had better luck with people who are older than me, I guess. Maybe it's just cuz I refuse to be the mature one in the relationship.

I've been told that my confidence is very sexy, but I don't really see myself as a confident person. I mean, I do what I have to do and I'm not afraid to assert myself and my rights and/or privileges, or to ask for what I want. Does that equate to confidence? I don't know.

Maybe it's because I am a complete flirt? Do people equate flirtiness with confidence?

Maybe there is a mild maternal attraction. If so it would work both ways. I am 37 and I find myself more accepting of being with someone younger but I have to say you young guys scare me to death. I worry about being able to sustain a realtionship with someone more than 5 or 10 years younger than me.

This post may be a little out of place, coming from a male, on this thread but I thought I'd post my thoughts on this matter. I've always been more attracted to older women than the teenaged girls around my 18 years of age. Maybe I am just stuck up and pompous or maybe this is true, at least for the girls around here, but it seems like any girl under the age of 19 doesn't want a long-term relationship unless it happens to be with a football oaf and even then they certainly never want a serious relationship.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all about dating (when I can manage to scrounge one up) and going out and having a little fun. But, it really gets to be a pain when you're one of the more intellectually and emotionally mature (not my own words) guys that people know and all girls want to do is run around to the next kegger or party and get wasted. I'm talking with a slightly older woman (24) who has a three year-old little boy and is at the perfect level of maturity, youthfulness, and sexuality that drives me nuts over her.

Maybe I just expect too much from the people my age or perhaps I really am more mature than I picture myself. I'm not quite sure but, feel free to post your thoughts. All I know is that I'm rapidly falling for this lady (and her little boy is great, too) and perhaps I'll actually have a decent relationship this time. (The fact that she's as kinky as I am is just a plus if we ever get that far. )

I can totally relate to what you are saying. I don't date girls my age (21 or younger), either. I was raised in an older family.... me being the youngest by 7 years. I always relate to older women, just because I was always raised in a more mature environment.

I've been taking care of myself since I was 16... half of the girls I know that are my age, are still hanging from their mothers tit. LOL I need a woman.... not a girl.... Make sense?

My love has 21 years on me. She's only a year younger than my mom and has twin sons just a couple of years younger than me. I know that sounds odd but I don't even think of her as being my mom's age, or me being young enough to be her daughter. We just...well shit, I don't know...we're just right for each other. That sounds lame, I know, but it's the best I can come up with right now.

She and Mom are best buds, by the way. When they get talking about the sixties and seventies, all I can do is put on some Dead tunes and let them go. Eventually they run their course and come back to the present.

For what it's worth, the sex is great. Lust had little to do with forming our relationship, but I'm happy to say it's not absent now.

It makes perfect sense. Don't worry about it either... I've found older women to be much more experienced in... how shall I put this... the art of love? Never been to bed with anyone but, good grief, my older lady can kiss better than anyone else I've ever touched.

This is gonna sound strange, but it is true....

When I was 13 or 14, I had an amazing crush on a woman who was about 34 or 35 (not really sure), she was a hostess at a local restaurant. I was shining shoes after school and on weekends at a barber shop just down the walk from the restaurant. I would go there for soda's or to get a toasted bagel.

In my mind she was HOT. Great legs, fairly large chest, a great figure. Her smile was so hot... with her dark eyes and the way she did her make-up (this was the mid to late 60's). short skirts, etc. Anyway she was hot.

We spoke a bit, and would even say hi when we saw each other at other places. One day we were talking and she asked if I ever did "babysitting" as she wanted to go out one night and needed to find someone to keep an eye on her two small sons. (one was 6 and one was 7).

I offered to do so, and she offered to pay me $1.00 an hour per boy. So that meant $2.00 an hour to watch her sons.

Well to make a long story short.. After a few times babysitting, there was a day that she was driving me home, and as I got out of her car, I kinda leaned over and went to kiss her on the cheek. She turned her head, and my lips planted on on hers. The next time I was to baby sit, she seemed to be taking a bit longer to get ready to go out, and while we were standing in the kitchen, she turned to me and wanted to appologize for the kiss.

I told her that I was only trying to kiss her cheek, but that she had turned towards me at the same time. So I was sorry if she was upset with me. She said she wasnt and asked me if I wanted to kiss her again.. I did, and we did. She didnt go out that day, and it turned out her two son's werent home that day.. they were with their father (she was divorced).

Well, I learned what it was not to be a virgin that day, and I think that started my desires for older women.

I had no desire to be with women my age after that, and had a few other older women after her.

Been married twice and both were older.. Now I am realizing that my desired age group for women has always been the 35 to 49 year olds, and now that I am 50.. I still like them in that age group, but I think I have to expand it to 55 and one 60 year old I know.. looks about 45.. and boy would I love to have a chance with her.
