Lucifer had felt her leave but had let her go reluctantly. She needed some alone time to process what she was going through but he hoped she would talk to him and not try to do it alone. After all that was what he was trying to show her, that she was not alone and she did not have to be.
He let her be by herself for a little while, and then got up carefully, leaving Trish still snuggled beneath the blankets and approached her silently.
He found her by the pool cleaning up, the music blaring out of the speakers making his efforts to sneak pointless. He could have driven a dump truck up here and she would not have heard.
He watched her for a few minutes and knew right away her mind was not on the job she was doing. Anyone that knew her could tell that. Whatever she was thinking of had nothing to do with a clean pool area, even though it was slowly getting done.
Smiling he moved behind her and quickly finished the jobs that needed doing. The trash quickly found it's way into bins, bottles stacked themselves to be recycled, and plates and cups found their way to the sink. When she turned around he was calmly sitting in a chair looking at her, smiling. He picked up the remote and turned the music off.
"Okay now beautiful, I know you didn't get up this early just to clean so spill it. What's on that pretty little mind of yours?"
