Lube Recommendations?

So I used to use K-Y's cooling liquid lubricant before they apparently discontinued it. I HATE jelly and anything warming. I usually like stuff with menthol in it. I tried Equate's version of K-Y Natural Feeling Liquid but I found that to be a bit too thin.

So now that I'm nearly out, I'm looking again for a new favorite. Not jelly, not entirely liquid, preferably something not too pricey and easy to find but if you have a recommendation you absolutely love, let me know!

Not that I've been able to find. Cooling doesn't seem to be a popular sensation.

Silicone, darling. It's biologically inert, so no weird reactions, and it lasts forever. Once you find a good one--one that's an actual silicone-based lube, not a water-based one with a drop of silicone in it so that the manufacturer can charge more--you will never go back.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend any because I haven't bought any in so long. There was a brand I used to adore, but I can't remember the freaking name of it now. I'm sorry to be useless.

(If you do go the silicone route, though, you won't want to use it with any silicone toys because of some weird chemical process I don't understand that makes a complete mess of your stuff.)

This thread in the How To Forum, to which I contributed a few mostly forgettable posts, is a classic. I do suggest ignoring the suggestions revolving around motor oil, though.

Wet is pretty good, and available at Walmart, so you don't have to go into an adult store to find it.

We've tried regular KY, Astroglide, and Wet, and I think Wet works the best, at least for anal. I've never needed lube (even at my age) for vaginal, so I can't speak to that aspect.

If you prefer the cooling sensation and you don't have sensitive skin, you could try adding a couple drops of peppermint or eucalyptus oil to any lubricant you like. I've done this myself and found it enjoyable.

In that case, I agree with several others who've posted and recommend Wet for water-based lube.

Not true! I have to confess to not knowing what my toys are (I don't think they're silicone though), but I came in here to see what answers people gave and I am going to investigate. I've found recently it helps to use a bit of lube even when I'm pretty turned on (getting old... dirty thirty!) and I'm always open to experimenting.

I currently use Ansell Lifestyles Silky Smooth, which is water-based, and so far the only disadvantages I've noticed are a) it can dry up fast if you use too little and b) it can be too slippery if you use too much. Which I imagine is true of any lube!
