-Tom and Sarah have been married for three years. There in there mid twenty's. Tom's your average straight laced guy he loves and shows he loves Sarah who is quite attractive. Thy are best friends they love each other.
-One night Sarah admits to Tom that a friend that had asked her out, kissed her she tells Tom she back away right after. Tom gets mad and starts hassling her for details, until it's revealed that it was Rebecca a girl from her Yoga class. Tom laughs it's off and eventually forgets it. Sarah switches classes.
-A month later Tom things Sarah is cheating on him, when he finds a suspicious early morning addition to her schedule she hasn't told him about. Plus Tom hasn't noticed that before where she was his best-friend and confidant she is now reserved and distant
-He follows her to what he discovers is a psychiatrists office. He finds out she's not been cheating on him but has been seeing the psychiatrist regularly.
-Tom is confused, he can't even get mad at her for spending his money, because where he's a construction worker she's a well paid marketing exec. He never went to college, she did.
-She confronts him later with a sit down discussion on there future. Although she hasn't cheated she's learned since the kiss, that her attractions are changing. She doesn't want to start discovering herself and hurting him in the process. She tells him she doesn't believe shes attracted to him nor men anymore.
-She trys to keep thing civil with them remaining friends, but Tom is angry and feels betrayed. For the longest while he resists the divorce but soon has to surrender to her fair and amicable terms, but rejects her alimony payments.
-Tom eventually starts to go off handle and moves out of town, he doesn't usually drink but now he's fully boozing. He ends up drunk on a college campus one day. He slumbers in to an upper-year architecture class, and starts awnsering questions the kids in there cant grasp.
-He soon gets enrolled under a mature status even though he's twenty six.
