Loving Submission

His eyes locked onto hers, and he nodded, "Good. Soon too."

He held the position, wanting to make sure his seed had a chance to do the job God had intended for them to do.

After a while he rolled off the bed, and said cheerfully, "We have a full day of adventure before us wife. Get ready."

Ava didn't move when he filled her with his seed. She knew he was staying in place to increase the likelihood that he would impregnate her.

When he bounded from her the bed, she followed. She freshened herself up. Then she dressed in a hunter green day dress. She left off all the expected underclothes except her chemise.

She left her hair down and then turned to look at him.

"Adventures? What do you have planned for us?"

He watched as his wife dressed and nodded approvingly at her choice. Easy enough to get into he thought.

He answered, "We are going riding in the country side, and do what ever we feel like while there."

He dressed, grabbed his sword and buckled it on.

"Shall we," he asked.

Ava was excited with the prospect of riding. She was looking forward to a day in the cool sunshine. The snows were melting and spring was coming. She wanted to relish the time they had left before he went to war.

She took his hand and followed him down the stairs. Her face lit up with happiness.

"It sounds like a perfect adventure." She giggled as they headed out the front door.

They headed downstairs grabbing a basket of food on the way out the door. Two horses sat ready for them a small contingent of guards as well.

Theodore Charles helped Ava onto her chestnut mare and when she settled he mounted a similar horse. He saw Ava look at the guards and he said, "Just in case."

With that he spurred his horse out of the courtyard and into the street.

Ava was happy to be out in the fresh air and the sunshine. She was an accomplished rider and knew the countryside well. When they came to an open clearing, she spurred her horse on. Her horse broke into a canter and Ava smiled as she raced ahead of the party.

Ava felt free from all of her worries as the wind blew in her hair.

She looked back at Theodore Charles and motioned for him to follow.

Theodore Charles rode with the easy grace of a man who has spent long, begrudging hours in the saddle. Efficient movement and always seemingly keeping his sword free of anyentanglements.

He caught up with Ava in the clearing and reproached her gently, "We cannot ride ahead of..."

Before he could finish the sentence a group of men charged from the other side of the clearing screaming, "Kill him!"

Ava's delight was shattered by the cries of the other riders that were lying in wait.

Their swords were drawn and they were charging toward the couple. Ava knew how to ride but never in peril. The horse reared back and it took all Ava had not to lose her seat.

Ava looked back over her shoulder, the guards were coming, but she wasn't sure they would make it in time to help.

One of the men looked familiar to her, she was sure he was one of her uncle's men.

Theodore Charles barked out to Ava, "Ride for the guards."

He galloped off to his left swinging as far as the clearing would allow. The worst thing he could do is allow himself to be surrounded.

He did not spare a thought for Ava, his immediate concern was the man swinging a sword at his head. Theodore 1 parried the attack easily and countered slicing along the man's forearm. First blood belong to him, and he planned for the last blood to be his as well.

A second rider joined the first forcing Theodore Charles to fight two men at once. The new man swung wildly and missed Theodore Charles but hit his horse which whinnied piteously before dropping.

Theodore Charles rolled off the back of his horse and retreated carefully. His men arrived chasing off the attackers before they could fully press their advantage.

He looked up at his men, his voice fill of fury said, "Take the conniving slut back to the villa. I will follow."

Ava felt relief when Theodore's men joined them. She was sickened and saddened by the sight of the horse bleeding in the grass.

"My love, are you all right?" Her voice was full of concern.

She was confused by the rage on his face. He called her a conniving slut and he ordered his men to take her home.

"I recognized one of the men." She stammered. But one of her husband's men had her by the arm. The others surrounded her horse. He hauled her off of her own horse, and pulled her onto his own.

"He says you are to go back to the villa, My Lady." His voice was rippled with disdain.

"Please... I want to make sure my husband is all right."

But there was no answer, the rider charged back to the villa.

Silent tears dripped down her cheeks as the horses thundered over the trails back through the woods.

The soldier dismounted and pulled Ava down out of the saddle. He took her by her upper arm and marched her into the house and up the stairs. He didn't take her to the bed chamber she shared with her husband.

He took her to a smaller chamber at the end of the hall. He pushed her inside and locked the door.

Ava kept asking why and what her husband thought she had done. She hadn't even known they were going riding. She had only wanted to race her husband, to show him that she knew how to ride. She would never have led him into a trap.

Ava gave up asking questions through the heavy door and instead curled up on the bed and waited. She was terrified of what would happen when her husband came home.

Theodore Charles stomped off after his guards as they whisked his traitorous wife away. Then again, perhaps she was merely being loyal after all. He stormed through town his aspect and blood covered arm causing most people to give him wide berth.

He got to the villa and strode to his room to find on the bed dressed; the final proof he needed of her role in the days events. He said nothing as he strode with a quiet fury to the bed.

Once there he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her unceremoniously out of the bed and drug her to the foot of the bed. He yanked her up by the hair to a standing position and hissed angrily, "Don't fucking move, you duplicitous bitch."

Getting the rope they had used the night before Theodore Charles tied her spread eagle to the two posts at the foot of the bed. Once secured he took his sword out and sawed away at her dress until he could rip it off her body and throw it away.toward the fire that was merrily burning unaffected by the danger in the air.

Ava was terrified into silence by the rage on her husband's face. He whipped her around like a rag doll. She bit her lips to keep silent. His hands bit into her skin, the ropes were so tight it feel as if they might cut her. Ava tried to swallow back her tears but she cried softly as he bound her.

Her fears escalated when he brandished his sword. She was terrified of blades and she knew his sword was deadly. He used the blade to tear apart her gown. She cried out in alarm when the blade grazed her skin.

He was unmoved by her emotion. She did her best to keep quiet. But the ange on his face hurt her. How could he think she would help someone hurt him. She loved him.

"I recognized on of the riders. His name is Hacket. He is one of my Uncle's guards. " she whispered. "I didn't know they were there. I endangered your life. But I didn't realize, I just wanted to have an adventure. "

"Part of that is the truth," he said in a low dangerous voice. "Your tears are because the plan failed."

He turned to his gear and pulled a riding crop from one of the bags. He returned and the hiss of wind filled the room as the crop slammed into her ass leaving a bright red mark, which turned purple quickly. The sound of the impact echoed dully in the room. Quickly another hiss of the riding crop and her other ass cheek has a matching bruise.

He leaned over her shoulder and hissed into her face, "I will break you."

"I have no reason to want to harm you. I want to have your son." She whispered bleakly.

She cried sharply and strained against her bonds when the crop stung her skin. Struggling just made the knots feel tighter. Ava bucked with each strike. She could feel the welts rise on her skin.

He told her that he was going to break her. Ava had no secrets to tell but she knew could not withstand his punishment for long. She could hear the swish of the crop as he vented his anger.

"Please. Please don't. I am not loyal to my uncle. Please..." Ava's knees began to buckle from the pain. She hung by her wrists. She closed her eyes and hung her head. Heartbroken.

Theodore Charles yanked her head back and hissed, "I don't believe you."

He stood back and swung his arm three times in quick succession, each blow marring her near perfect skin. He leaned forward so his mouth moved against her ears. "Prove it, bitch."

Ava's mind was racing. She tried to think, but the stinging swats against her bare skin made it hard.

"I didn't know we were going to go riding. I had no way of telling them where we would be. I have been at your side at every moment." She wished she could wipe away her tears, but instead they dripped down her cheeks.

She cried out sharply, when his arm swished through the air again, this time, she thought it might break the skin, but it only resulted in a stinging welt that would soon be purple.

"He is a bully to my father.... I don't respect him. I don't want to be his." She gasped.

The punishment session was interrupted with a heavy fist on the door.

"My Lord, we have caught two of the horsemen." The booming voice on the other side of the door offered as Ava waited to learn her fate.

Theodore Charles looked at the door angrily, then cracked the riding crop across Ava's ass one more time before going to the door. He opened the door and looked at the two men who looked like they had been through hell and back already.

He knew that Ava was visible from the door and the look of his two guards were inscrutable. They had been with him for years and knew what to expect from Theodore Charles in most instances. Including if he thought he had been betrayed.

"Bring them in, and tie them next to the bitch," he ordered.

Ava flushed deeply as the men watched her from the door. She lowered her head and closed her eyes. She trembled with fear and exhaustion.

One of the riders averted his eyes as they were tied up. Ava took a deep breath and did her very best to stop crying. She was humiliated enough bound, naked and punished in their sight.

"My Lady, this isn't right." The young man stammered. "What sort of man would treat his wife this way?" He asked with righteous indignation. "Her father would be outraged." One of Theodore Charles' men punched him in the stomach hard enough to take his breath away.

"He thinks I colluded with you. He thinks I drew him into that clearing so that you could kill him." Ava's voice was low and cold.

Theodore Charles dismissed his men and turned to his wife and two captives. He went to the more vocal of the two and said, "My wife speaks true. I believe that she in collusion with her Uncle attempted to slay me."

He caressed his wife's ass gently and continued, "I would not have believed suck a thing until I watched it this morning, yet I did. She rode spiritedly toward you drawing me from my men toward the ambush. Ruining a perfectly good day."

He let go of Ava's ass and looked at them, "Do you have evidence contrary to what I saw?"

The man looked at Theodore Charles with disgust.

"I don't see how I can disprove her involvement. But I know that my master has a spy in your household. We knew your plans because of him. Not because of Lady Ava. He told us to kill you and to take our Lady home, no matter how hard she fought us. He told us you were mistreating Lady Ava." He looked at him with steely eyes and did not look away.

The other captive snarled at him to be quiet. Ava said nothing.

Theodore Charles watched as he explained the situation and thought a moment. He had already figured that there would be at least one spy in the house, two if one counted Ava. The man had the certainty of truth in his voice; so, either he was an accomplished liar, or he spike truly as he knew it.

He looked and sais, "You can exonerate her by telling me the name of the spy."

The young man looked at his compatriot and then at Ava. He took a deep breath.

"There are two spies in your household. Anika, one of the kitchen maids is a lover to our commander. And Dierk, one of the grooms in the stable. Anika sent word you had ordered food prepared for a day of riding. Dierk asked your guards where you were riding. So he could chose the right horse for my lady, Ava. That is how we knew ."

The other captive muttered calling him a traitor but he couldn't stand to see Ava I justly punished.

Ava said nothing, she bit her lip trying not to cry.

Theodore Charles cut his wife down and helped her onto the bed. The half dozen welts would sting a day or two but caused no serious damage or long term scarring. He then turned and cut down the helpful agent for Ava's uncle and instructed him to stand aside.

He turned to Ava and said, "As I see it yiu have three choices. First, you can run away with this man who loves you so. Second, you can return to your family and become you uuncle's bed mate."

Marsdan ignored the cries of outrage from the two men and finished, "Or third, you stay with your husband. Which will it be?"

Ava snatched up her dressing gown. She moved stiffly but she wrapped the fabric around her.

"I never asked to leave. This is my home. You are my family." Her voice was low and flat. She stormed from the room.

"And I don't wish to discuss our family matters in front of others. I am going to have the maids heat a bath for me."

She slammed the door, glaring at her husband's guards. She went down to the kitchen and had the maids begin to heat her water for a hot bath.

Theodore Charles looked at the two men a moment after Ava stormed out. He would deal with her later. "You are free to go," he stated. "However, if we meet again you will die."

He turned to his guards, "After you escort these two out, make sure to evict the two people specified."

He spun on his heel and left the room looking for Ava.
